with three administrators over them, one of whom was Daniel. The satraps were made accountable to them so that the king might not suffer loss.

He placed three leaders over them. One of the leaders was Daniel. The royal rulers were made accountable to the three leaders. Then the king wouldn’t lose any of his wealth.

and over them three high officials, of whom Daniel was one, to whom these satraps should give account, so that the king might suffer no loss.

The king also chose Daniel and two others as administrators to supervise the high officers and protect the king’s interests.

王於是尊崇但以理、加以重賚、封為巴比倫方伯、眾哲士長、但以理求王使沙得臘、米煞、亞伯尼坷、治理巴比倫之事、但以理待命御閽。

蓋我與我民、為人所陷、殺戮殞亡、即鬻我為奴婢、我亦無詞、惟有損於王、敵雖輸金、無所裨補。

天國猶人君、與其臣會計、

所求於司者忠也、

以色列族之上帝耶和華又曰、我昔有言、爾祖之家、將恆供我役、今我不然、凡尊敬我者、我尊顯之、藐視我者、亦必藐視之。

得智慧者、福祉遐齡、左宜右有、

召僕十人、各與十金、謂之曰、貿易以待我歸、其民憾之、遣使於後、訴曰、我儕不欲斯人君我也、貴者受封而反、命呼予金之僕、欲知獲利幾何、其一至曰、主之十金、已獲百金矣、曰、俞、善僕也、於其小者既忠矣、即宰十邑可也、其次至曰、主之十金、已獲五十、曰宰五邑可矣、又其次至曰、主之十金在此、藏之巾中、蓋我畏爾、嚴人也、未置者取之、未播者穫之、主曰、惡哉僕也、即爾言、我擬爾、既知我嚴、未置者取之、未播者穫之、盍以我金置肆、我來時、可幷其利而取之、命左右曰、取其十金、與其有百金者、曰主、彼既百金矣、曰、吾語汝、有者將予之、無者並其所有亦奪之、其不欲我君之、而為我敵者、曳來誅於我前、○

乃呼之曰、我聞人言、爾果有此事否、可出會計條目、爾不得仍為操會者矣、
