Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

I complain and groan morning, noon, and night, and He hears my voice.

But Peter and the apostles replied,“ We must obey God rather than men.

Come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Pray constantly.Give thanks in everything, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name.

Then Peter sent them all out of the room. He knelt down, prayed, and turning toward the body said,“ Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, saw Peter, and sat up.

I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.

But I enter Your house by the abundance of Your faithful love; I bow down toward Your holy temple in reverential awe of You.

When Your people go out to fight against their enemies, wherever You send them, and they pray to Yahweh in the direction of the city You have chosen and the temple I have built for Your name,

Then they replied to the king,“ Daniel, one of the Judean exiles, has ignored you, the king, and the edict you signed, for he prays three times a day.”

But I said: I have been banished from Your sight, yet I will look once more toward Your holy temple.

When Solomon finished praying this entire prayer and petition to the Lord, he got up from kneeling before the altar of the Lord, with his hands spread out toward heaven,

The next day, as they were traveling and nearing the city, Peter went up to pray on the housetop about noon.

and when they return to You with their whole mind and heart in the land of their enemies who took them captive, and when they pray to You in the direction of their land that You gave their ancestors, the city You have chosen, and the temple I have built for Your name,may You hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, their prayer and petition and uphold their cause.May You forgive Your people who sinned against You and all their rebellions against You, and may You give them compassion in the eyes of their captors, so that they may be compassionate to them.

whatever prayer or petition anyone from Your people Israel might have— each man knowing his own afflictions and spreading out his hands toward this temple—

Don’t be afraid of what you are about to suffer. Look, the Devil is about to throw some of you into prison to test you, and you will have affliction for 10 days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

Most of the brothers in the Lord have gained confidence from my imprisonment and dare even more to speak the message fearlessly.

Therefore let us approach the throne of grace with boldness, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us at the proper time.

Now Peter and John were going up together to the temple complex at the hour of prayer at three in the afternoon.

For Solomon had made a bronze platform 7 1/2 feet long, 7 1/2 feet wide, and 4 1/2 feet high and put it in the court. He stood on it, knelt down in front of the entire congregation of Israel, and spread out his hands toward heaven.

However, so this does not spread any further among the people, let’s threaten them against speaking to anyone in this name again.”So they called for them and ordered them not to preach or teach at all in the name of Jesus.But Peter and John answered them,“ Whether it’s right in the sight of God for us to listen to you rather than to God, you decide;

But I said,“ Should a man like me run away? How can I enter the temple and live? I will not go.”

“ Go and stand in the temple complex, and tell the people all about this life.”

When the day of Pentecost had arrived, they were all together in one place.Suddenly a sound like that of a violent rushing wind came from heaven, and it filled the whole house where they were staying.

After they called in the apostles and had them flogged, they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus and released them.Then they went out from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be dishonored on behalf of the Name.Every day in the temple complex, and in various homes, they continued teaching and proclaiming the good news that Jesus is the Messiah.

My eager expectation and hope is that I will not be ashamed about anything, but that now as always, with all boldness, Christ will be highly honored in my body, whether by life or by death.

And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.

Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows!“ And I say to you, anyone who acknowledges Me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God,but whoever denies Me before men will be denied before the angels of God.

“ If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters— yes, and even his own life— he cannot be My disciple.

Don’t fear those who kill the body but are not able to kill the soul; rather, fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.Aren’t two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them falls to the ground without your Father’s consent.But even the hairs of your head have all been counted.So don’t be afraid therefore; you are worth more than many sparrows.“ Therefore, everyone who will acknowledge Me before men, I will also acknowledge him before My Father in heaven.But whoever denies Me before men, I will also deny him before My Father in heaven.

I have taken refuge in the Lord. How can you say to me,“ Escape to the mountain like a bird!For look, the wicked string the bow; they put the arrow on the bowstring to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart.

When our days there were over, we left to continue our journey, while all of them, with their wives and children, escorted us out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach to pray,

Hear the petition of Your servant and Your people Israel, which they pray toward this place. May You hear in Your dwelling place in heaven. May You hear and forgive.
