Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Daniel found out that the king had signed the order. In spite of that, he did just as he had always done before. He went home to his upstairs room. Its windows opened toward Jerusalem. He went to his room three times a day to pray. He got down on his knees and gave thanks to his God.

When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously.

晨昏卓午、悲哀歎息、彼必聽我聲兮、

彼得與諸使徒對曰、我儕順服上帝過於人、宜也、

其來鞠躬而拜、跪於造我之耶和華前兮、

概勿憂慮、惟於萬事、以祈禱、籲懇、稱謝、陳述所求於上帝、

祈禱不輟、凡事感謝、此乃上帝之旨、由基督耶穌以及爾者也、

若我、則蒙厚愛、必詣爾室、寅畏相將、望爾聖殿而崇拜兮、

如爾民奉爾所遣、無論何途、出與敵戰、向爾所簡之邑、及我為爾名所建之室、祈禱耶和華、

眾對王曰、王歟、猶大俘囚中之但以理、不尊重爾、不遵爾所簽押之禁令、每日祈禱三次、

我曰、我自爾目前見擲、然仍瞻望爾之聖殿、

所羅門屈膝、跪於耶和華壇前、張手向天、禱告祈求於耶和華既畢、則起、

翌日、行將近邑、時約午正、彼得升屋祈禱、

在敵人虜者之地、一心一意歸爾、向其故土、爾所錫其列祖者、與爾所簡之邑、及我為爾名所建之室、祈禱於爾、願爾在天爾之居所、聽其禱告祈求、而保其義、寬恕獲罪於爾之民、宥其對爾所干之咎、使於虜者之前、得其矜憫、

爾民以色列或一人、或眾人、自覺己心之殃、若向此室張手、無論何所禱、何所祈、

勿懼爾將受之苦、魔將投爾中數人於獄以試之、爾將受難十日、宜忠信至死、我則賜爾以維生之冕、

且使宗主之兄弟、多因我縲絏、益毅然宣上帝道而無懼、

故當毅然近於恩座、以得矜恤、並承隨時之恩佑焉、

然我不以己生為意、而貴之、惟欲盡我程途、及由主耶穌所授之職、以證上帝恩惠之福音、

主歟、我終日呼籲爾、其矜憫我兮、

今祈主鑒彼眾之威嚇、允爾僕毅然宣爾道、

遂離之、約投石之遠、屈膝祈禱、

又跪而大呼曰、主乎、勿以此罪歸之、言畢而寢、掃羅亦悅其死、

我知爾居所、乃撒但之座所在、昔我忠信之證者安提帕、見殺於爾中、即撒但之所居、爾則持我名、亦未嘗拒我道、

爾意其人為醉者、非也、蓋時甫巳初耳、

我曰、如我者、豈可逃遁乎、如我者、孰願入殿以保其生乎、我不入也、

往立於殿、以此維生之言、悉語於民、

五旬節既至、眾咸集一處、忽有聲自天如烈風衝突、充乎所坐之室、

眾從之、召使徒至、扑之、命勿以耶穌之名為言、遂釋之、使徒去公會而喜、以其為斯名受辱、主視之為宜也、於是日在殿在家訓誨不息、宣耶穌為基督焉、

依我之企望、概無所愧、而毅然如常、今或生或死、基督將於我身丕顯、

凡所言所行、悉宜以主耶穌名為之、且由之謝父上帝焉、○

在敵人虜者之地、一心一意歸爾、向其故土、爾所賜其列祖者、與爾所簡之邑、及我為爾名所建之室祈禱、

我友乎、我語汝、殺身而後別無能為者、勿懼之、我以當懼者示爾、即殺後、又有權投於地獄者、我誠語汝、當懼者此也、五雀非二分金售乎、然於上帝前、其一亦不忘也、即爾首之髮、皆已見數、勿懼、爾較多雀尤貴也、我又語汝、凡於人前認我者、人子於上帝使者前、亦必認之、於人前不認我者、亦必不見認於上帝使者前、

人就我、而不憎其父母、妻子、兄弟、姊妹、與己生命者、不得為我徒、

殺身而不能殺魂者、勿懼之、寧懼能滅身及魂於地獄者、二雀非一分金售乎、然非爾父許之、其一不隕於地、爾髮亦悉見數、故勿懼、爾較多雀尤貴也、凡認我於人前、我亦認之於我天父前、凡不認我於人前、我亦不認之於我天父前、○

我託庇於耶和華、爾曹胡謂我曰、宜如禽鳥、翱翔於山、惡者彎弓、注矢於弦、暗射心正之人、

越七日、啟行、眾偕妻孥、送至邑外、皆跪於岸而祈禱、

爾僕與爾民以色列、向此祈禱時、求爾在天爾之居所垂聽、而加赦宥、
