因其威儀、億兆族姓、戰慄於前、生殺昇降、皆出王衷、

因天主賜之威權、各民、各國、各族、戰慄恐懼於其前、彼隨意生殺、隨意升降、

Because of the high position he gave him, all the nations and peoples of every language dreaded and feared him. Those the king wanted to put to death, he put to death; those he wanted to spare, he spared; those he wanted to promote, he promoted; and those he wanted to humble, he humbled.

God gave him a high position. Then people from every nation became afraid of the king. That was true no matter what language they spoke. The king put to death anyone he wanted to. He spared anyone he wanted to spare. He gave high positions to anyone he wanted to. And he brought down anyone he wanted to bring down.

And because of the greatness that he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whom he would, he killed, and whom he would, he kept alive; whom he would, he raised up, and whom he would, he humbled.

He made him so great that people of all races and nations and languages trembled before him in fear. He killed those he wanted to kill and spared those he wanted to spare. He honored those he wanted to honor and disgraced those he wanted to disgrace.

Because of the greatness he gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages were terrified and fearful of him. He killed anyone he wanted and kept alive anyone he wanted; he exalted anyone he wanted and humbled anyone he wanted.

Now because of the greatness which He granted him, all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages trembled and feared in his presence; whomever he wished, he killed, and whomever he wished, he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated, and whomever he wished he humbled.

And because of the majesty that He gave him, all peoples, nations, and languages trembled and feared before him. Whomever he wished, he executed; whomever he wished, he kept alive; whomever he wished, he set up; and whomever he wished, he put down.

凡不俯伏下拜的，必立刻扔在烈火的窑中。”

王因这事生气，大大震怒，吩咐灭绝巴比伦所有的智慧人。命令发出，智慧人将要被杀，人就寻找但以理和他的同伴，要杀他们。

那时传令的大声呼叫说：“各方、各国、各族的人哪，有命令传给你们：

又命令他军中的几个壮士，把沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌捆起来，扔在烈火的窑中。这三人穿着内袍、外衣、头巾和其他的衣服，被捆起来扔在烈火的窑中。

现在我降旨，无论何方、何国、何族，凡有人毁谤沙得拉、米煞、亚伯尼歌的上帝，他必被凌迟，他的房屋必成粪堆，因为没有别神能像这样施行拯救。”

王的震怒是死亡的使者，但智慧人能平息王怒。

看哪，我必召北方的众族和我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒前来攻击这地和这地的居民，并四围所有的国民。我要将他们尽行灭绝，以致他们令人惊骇、嗤笑，并且永久荒凉。这是耶和华说的。我又要止息他们欢喜和快乐的声音、新郎和新娘的声音、推磨的声音和灯的亮光。这全地必然荒凉，令人惊骇。这些国家要服事巴比伦王七十年。七十年满了以后，我必惩罚巴比伦王和那国，并迦勒底人之地，因他们的罪孽使那地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。我也必使我向那地所说的话，就是所有记在这书上，耶利米向这些国家说的预言，都临到那地。因为必有许多国家和大君王使迦勒底人作奴仆；我也必照他们的行为，按他们手所做的报应他们。”

他因酒诡诈、狂傲、不安于位；他张开喉咙，好像阴间，如死亡不能知足，他聚集万国，招聚万民全归自己。

耶稣回答他：“若不是从上头赐给你的，你就毫无权柄办我，所以，把我交给你的那人罪更重了。”

“王啊，这成长又茁壮的树就是你。你的威势成长及于天，你的权柄达到地极。

我用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造大地和地上的人民、牲畜。我看给谁合适，就把地给谁。现在我将全地都交在我仆人巴比伦王尼布甲尼撒手中，也把野地的走兽给他使用。列国都要服事他和他的子孙，直到他本国遭报的日期来到；那时，许多国家和大君王要使他作奴隶。

在上有权柄的，人人要顺服，因为没有权柄不是来自上帝的。掌权的都是上帝所立的。
