You will be driven from human society. You will live in the fields with the wild animals, and you will eat grass like a cow. Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses.’

當驅逐爾、不與人偕居、而與獸錯處、嚙蒭若牛、以待七年之屆、俾知至上者、操權於寰區、隨意昇降、

眾必逐爾不與人偕居、使與野獸同居、食草若牛、如此歷七期、使爾知至上者、主掌人間之國、隨意以國賜人、

You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like the ox. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over all kingdoms on earth and gives them to anyone he wishes.”

He was driven from human society. He was given the mind of a wild animal, and he lived among the wild donkeys. He ate grass like a cow, and he was drenched with the dew of heaven, until he learned that the Most High God rules over the kingdoms of the world and appoints anyone he desires to rule over them.

Because of me, kings reign, and rulers make just decrees.Rulers lead with my help, and nobles make righteous judgments.

He removes the royal robe of kings. They are led away with ropes around their waist.He leads priests away, stripped of status; he overthrows those with long years in power.He silences the trusted adviser and removes the insight of the elders.He pours disgrace upon princes and disarms the strong.

With my great strength and powerful arm I made the earth and all its people and every animal. I can give these things of mine to anyone I choose.

The messenger shouted,“ Cut down the tree and lop off its branches! Shake off its leaves and scatter its fruit! Chase the wild animals from its shade and the birds from its branches.But leave the stump and the roots in the ground, bound with a band of iron and bronze and surrounded by tender grass. Now let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him live with the wild animals among the plants of the field.For seven periods of time, let him have the mind of a wild animal instead of the mind of a human.For this has been decreed by the messengers; it is commanded by the holy ones, so that everyone may know that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world. He gives them to anyone he chooses— even to the lowliest of people.”

If you don’t, I will send more plagues on you and your officials and your people. Then you will know that there is no one like me in all the earth.

“ Do it tomorrow,” Pharaoh said.“ All right,” Moses replied,“ it will be as you have said. Then you will know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

“ All right,” Moses replied.“ As soon as I leave the city, I will lift my hands and pray to the Lord. Then the thunder and hail will stop, and you will know that the earth belongs to the Lord.

He did this so all the nations of the earth might know that the Lord’s hand is powerful, and so you might fear the Lord your God forever.”

Seven periods of time will pass while you live this way, until you learn that the Most High rules over the kingdoms of the world and gives them to anyone he chooses.But the stump and roots of the tree were left in the ground. This means that you will receive your kingdom back again when you have learned that heaven rules.

Now, O Lord our God, rescue us from his power; then all the kingdoms of the earth will know that you alone, O Lord, are God.”

They are driven from human society, and people shout at them as if they were thieves.So now they live in frightening ravines, in caves and among the rocks.They sound like animals howling among the bushes, huddled together beneath the nettles.

And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness— secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the Lord, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name.
