‘ Perēs’— your kingdom has been divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”

For rebellion is as reprehensible as the sin of divination, And insubordination is as reprehensible as false religion and idolatry. Since you have rejected the word of the Lord, He has also rejected you from being king.”

When he fills his belly, God will send His fierce anger on him And rain it on him while he is eating.

But now your kingdom shall not endure. The Lord has sought for Himself a man after His own heart, and the Lord has appointed him ruler over His people, because you have not kept what the Lord commanded you.”

The enemy said,‘ I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoils; I shall be satisfied against them; I will draw my sword, my hand will destroy them.’You blew with Your wind, the sea covered them; They sank like lead in the mighty waters.

Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came out of heaven:“ I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.”

this is the interpretation, O king, and this is the decree of the Most High, which has come upon my lord the king:

They drank the wine and praised the gods of gold and silver, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone.Suddenly the fingers of a human hand emerged and began writing opposite the lampstand on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, and the king saw the back of the hand that did the writing.
