The king began speaking and was saying,‘ Is this not Babylon the great, which I myself have built as a royal residence by the might of my power and for the honor of my majesty?’

说：“这宏伟的巴比伦岂不是我用大能建立为京都，以显我的威严和荣耀吗？”

他说：“这大巴比伦城不是我用大能大力建造作我的京都，为显我威严的荣耀吗？”

开口说：“这大巴比伦，难道不是我以自己的权能力量建为国都，为要显出我威严的尊荣吗？”

他說：「這大巴比倫不是我用大能大力建為京都，要顯我威嚴的榮耀嗎？」

王說：「這大巴比倫豈不是我用大能大力建為首都，要顯示我威嚴的榮耀嗎？」

王說：「這大巴比倫豈不是我用大能大力建為首都，要顯示我威嚴的榮耀嗎？」

說：「這宏偉的巴比倫豈不是我用大能建立為京都，以顯我的威嚴和榮耀嗎？」

他說：“這大巴比倫城不是我用大能大力建造作我的京都，為顯我威嚴的榮耀嗎？”

王應時說：『這豈不是大巴比倫，我用我財力的權勢所建築、做王家宮殿，要顯示我威嚴之光榮的麼？』

開口說：「這大巴比倫，難道不是我以自己的權能力量建為國都，為要顯出我威嚴的尊榮嗎？」

曰、此非大巴比倫、我以大能大力建為王都、彰我威榮乎、

自謂此非巴比倫大城、我所建造者乎、我以之為國都、顯我能、彰我榮、

我尼布甲尼撒王曰、此巴比倫大城、非我用大能建為王都、以顯我榮者乎、

he said,“ Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?”

He said,“ Isn’t this the great Babylon I have built as a place for my royal palace? I used my mighty power to build it. It shows how glorious my majesty is.”

and the king answered and said,“ Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by my mighty power as a royal residence and for the glory of my majesty?”

As he looked out across the city, he said,‘ Look at this great city of Babylon! By my own mighty power, I have built this beautiful city as my royal residence to display my majestic splendor.’

the king exclaimed,“ Is this not Babylon the Great that I have built to be a royal residence by my vast power and for my majestic glory?”

The king spoke, saying,“ Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for a royal dwelling by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?”

The king spake and said, Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling- place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?

the king exclaimed,“ Is this not Babylon the Great that I have built by my vast power to be a royal residence and to display my majestic glory?”

The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?

The king uttered these words:“ Is this not the great Babylon that I have built for a royal residence by my own mighty strength and for my majestic honor?”

The king spoke and said,“ Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for the royal dwelling place, by the might of my power and for the glory of my majesty?”

Pride goes before destruction, And a haughty spirit before stumbling.

The great city was split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. Babylon the great was remembered in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of His fierce wrath.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery:“ BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF PROSTITUTES AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

They mock and wickedly speak of oppression; They speak from on high.

standing at a distance because of the fear of her torment, saying,‘ Woe, woe, the great city, Babylon, the strong city! For in one hour your judgment has come.’

Mankind in its splendor, yet without understanding, Is like the animals that perish.

And I will say to myself,“ You have many goods stored up for many years to come; relax, eat, drink, and enjoy yourself!” ’But God said to him,‘ You fool! This very night your soul is demanded of you; and as for all that you have prepared, who will own it now?’

On the glorious splendor of Your majesty And on Your wonderful works, I will meditate.People will speak of the power of Your awesome acts, And I will tell of Your greatness.They will burst forth in speaking of Your abundant goodness, And will shout joyfully of Your righteousness.The Lord is gracious and compassionate; Slow to anger and great in mercy.The Lord is good to all, And His mercies are over all His works.All Your works will give thanks to You, Lord, And Your godly ones will bless You.They will speak of the glory of Your kingdom, And talk of Your might,To make known to the sons of mankind Your mighty acts, And the glory of the majesty of Your kingdom.

The Chaldeans bring all of them up with a hook, Drag them away with their net, And gather them together in their fishing net. Therefore they rejoice and are joyful.Therefore they offer a sacrifice to their net And burn incense to their fishing net, Because through these things their catch is large, And their food is plentiful.

At that time he displayed the riches of his royal glory and the splendor of his great majesty for many days, 180 days.

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar.

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all things for the glory of God.

Speak and say,‘ This is what the Lord God says:“ Behold, I am against you, Pharaoh king of Egypt, The great monster that lies in the midst of his canals, That has said,‘ My Nile is mine, and I myself have made it.’

Through your servants you have taunted the Lord, And you have said,‘ With my many chariots I came up to the heights of the mountains, To the remotest parts of Lebanon; And I cut down its tall cedars and its choice junipers. And I will come to its highest peak, its thickest forest.I dug wells and drank waters, And with the sole of my feet I dried up All the canals of Egypt.’

And it came about, as they journeyed east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar and settled there.Then they said to one another,“ Come, let’s make bricks and fire them thoroughly.” And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar.And they said,“ Come, let’s build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let’s make a name for ourselves; otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of all the earth.”Now the Lord came down to see the city and the tower which the men had built.And the Lord said,“ Behold, they are one people, and they all have the same language. And this is what they have started to do, and now nothing which they plan to do will be impossible for them.Come, let Us go down and there confuse their language, so that they will not understand one another’s speech.”So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of all the earth; and they stopped building the city.Therefore it was named Babel, because there the Lord confused the language of all the earth; and from there the Lord scattered them abroad over the face of all the earth.

For it says,“ Are not my officers all kings?Is not Calno like Carchemish, Or Hamath like Arpad, Or Samaria like Damascus?As my hand has reached to the kingdoms of the idols, Whose carved images were greater than those of Jerusalem and Samaria,Shall I not do the same to Jerusalem and her images Just as I have done to Samaria and her idols?”So it will be that when the Lord has completed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say,“ I will punish the fruit of the arrogant heart of the king of Assyria and the arrogant pride of his eyes.”For he has said,“ By the power of my hand and by my wisdom I did this, Because I have understanding; And I removed the boundaries of the peoples And plundered their treasures, And like a powerful man I brought down their inhabitants,And my hand reached to the riches of the peoples like a nest, And as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; And there was not one that flapped its wing, opened its beak, or chirped.”Is the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? Is the saw to exalt itself over the one who wields it? That would be like a club wielding those who lift it, Or like a rod lifting the one who is not wood.

“ Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre,‘ The Lord God says this:“ Because your heart is haughty And you have said,‘ I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods In the heart of the seas’; Yet you are a mortal and not God, Although you make your heart like the heart of God—Behold, you are wiser than Daniel; There is no secret that is a match for you!By your wisdom and understanding You have acquired riches for yourself And have acquired gold and silver for your treasuries.By your great wisdom, by your trade You have increased your riches, And your heart is haughty because of your riches—

O king, the Most High God granted sovereignty, greatness, honor, and majesty to Nebuchadnezzar your father.Now because of the greatness which He granted him, all the peoples, nations, and populations of all languages trembled and feared in his presence; whomever he wished, he killed, and whomever he wished, he spared alive; and whomever he wished he elevated, and whomever he wished he humbled.But when his heart was arrogant and his spirit became so overbearing that he behaved presumptuously, he was deposed from his royal throne, and his dignity was taken away from him.

Bless the Lord, my soul! Lord my God, You are very great; You are clothed with splendor and majesty,

Both riches and honor come from You, and You rule over all, and in Your hand is power and might; and it lies in Your hand to make great and to strengthen everyone.Now therefore, our God, we thank You, and praise Your glorious name.“ But who am I and who are my people that we should be able to offer as generously as this? For all things come from You, and from Your hand we have given to You.

The house which I am about to build will be great, for our God is greater than all the gods.But who is able to build a house for Him, since the heavens and the highest heavens cannot contain Him? And who am I, that I should build a house for Him, except to burn incense before Him?

Then a strong angel picked up a stone like a great millstone and threw it into the sea, saying,“ So will Babylon, the great city, be thrown down with violence, and will never be found again.

“ Behold, as for the impudent one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous one will live by his faith.Furthermore, wine betrays an arrogant man, So that he does not achieve his objective. He enlarges his appetite like Sheol, And he is like death, never satisfied. He also gathers to himself all the nations And collects to himself all the peoples.

The nations will walk by its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.In the daytime( for there will be no night there) its gates will never be closed;and they will bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it;
