我在床上、腦中所見的異象是這樣：我觀看着，我見地當中有一棵樹，極其高。那樹直長起來，長得很堅強，高到頂天，全地四極都能看到。它的葉子美麗，它的果子極多，眾生的食物就在其中。山野的走獸得到蔭影在它之下，空中的飛鳥住在它的枝子上，凡有血肉的都從它而得食。

看哪，我要將你比作利巴嫩中的香柏樹，枝條美麗，成蔭之林，樹身高大，樹梢挺立於雲霄間。

我扔它下陰間、跟那些下陰坑的人在一起，那時列國聽見它墜落的響聲、就都震動，伊甸的眾樹、利巴嫩所有得水滋潤的、最佳最美的樹、在地府之最低處就都心平氣靜。
