于是称为伯提沙撒的但以理惊讶片时，心意惊惶。王说：“伯提沙撒啊，不要因梦和梦的讲解惊惶。”伯提沙撒回答说：“我主啊，愿这梦归与恨恶你的人，讲解归与你的敌人。

于是称为伯提沙撒的但以理惊骇片时，心意惊惶。王说：“伯提沙撒啊，不要因梦和梦的解释惊惶。”伯提沙撒回答说：“我主啊，愿这梦归给恨恶你的人，这梦的解释归给你的敌人。

但以理亦名伯底沙撒、一聞我言、不覺驚駭竟晷、中心鬱陶、余曰、伯底沙撒勿為余夢及兆、鬱伊不止、對曰、願此夢之兆、應於敵人、勿為王躬之咎、

稱伯提沙撒之但以理、一聞我言、驚訝片時、中心惶恐、我尼布甲尼撒王曰、伯提沙撒、勿為夢與夢兆惶恐、伯提沙撒曰、我主、願其夢應於王之仇、願其兆驗驗或作臨於王之敵、

Then Daniel( also called Belteshazzar) was greatly perplexed for a time, and his thoughts terrified him. So the king said,“ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its meaning alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, if only the dream applied to your enemies and its meaning to your adversaries!

Daniel, who was also called Belteshazzar, was very bewildered for a while. His thoughts terrified him. So the king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its meaning make you afraid.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My master, I wish the dream were about your enemies! I wish its meaning had to do with them!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was dismayed for a while, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king answered and said,“ Belteshazzar, let not the dream or the interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered and said,“ My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you and its interpretation for your enemies!

“ Upon hearing this, Daniel( also known as Belteshazzar) was overcome for a time, frightened by the meaning of the dream. Then the king said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, don’t be alarmed by the dream and what it means.’“ Belteshazzar replied,‘ I wish the events foreshadowed in this dream would happen to your enemies, my lord, and not to you!

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was stunned for a moment, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream apply to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!

“ Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was appalled for a while as his thoughts alarmed him. The king responded and said,‘ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.’ Belteshazzar replied,‘ My lord, if only the dream applied to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonished for a time, and his thoughts troubled him. So the king spoke, and said,“ Belteshazzar, do not let the dream or its interpretation trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered and said,“ My Lord, may the dream concern those who hate you, and its interpretation concern your enemies!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken dumb for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine adversaries.

Then Daniel, whose name is Belteshazzar, was stunned for a moment, and his thoughts alarmed him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream or its interpretation alarm you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream apply to those who hate you, and its interpretation to your enemies!

Then Daniel, whose name[ was] Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream[ be] to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.

Then Daniel( whose name is also Belteshazzar) was upset for a brief time; his thoughts were alarming him. The king said,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream and its interpretation alarm you.” But Belteshazzar replied,“ Sir, if only the dream were for your enemies and its interpretation applied to your adversaries!

Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was stricken mute for a while, and his thoughts troubled him. The king answered,“ Belteshazzar, don’t let the dream, or the interpretation, trouble you.” Belteshazzar answered,“ My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you, and its interpretation to your adversaries.

於是我但以理精疲力竭，病了幾天，然後起來辦理王的事務；我因所見的景象而驚駭，全不明白其中的意義。

『那事到這裏就了結。我但以理呢、心裏一想就驚惶，氣色也突變；然而那事、我總存記於心。』

忽有一位像人形相的摸觸着我的嘴脣，我便開口說話；我向那站在我面前的說：『大師啊，我因見這景象，猛然傷痛，連力氣都持不住了。大師的僕人怎能同大師說話呢？我，我現在一點力量都沒有了；連氣息都沒有留下呢！』

王啊，夢的解析就是這樣：那臨到我主我王的事就是至高者所定的命令：

以利說：『他對你說的是甚麼事？你不要向我隱瞞；你若將他對你說的一切話向我隱瞞了一句，願上帝這樣懲罰你，並且加倍地懲罰。』

古實人也來到了，他說：『有消息報給我主我王知道：永恆主今天已經維護了正義、而救你脫離一切起來攻擊你的人的手了。』王問古實人說：『孩子押沙龍平安不平安？古實人說：『願我主我王的仇敵和一切起來攻擊你殘害你的人都像那青年人一樣。』

我尼布甲尼撒優游安閒在我宮中，享盡豪華在我的宮殿裏。竟作了一個夢，使我恐懼；我在床上，幻想和我腦中所見的異象、使我驚惶。

我的肺腑啊，我的肺腑啊，我翻騰難過；我心房的牆直跳動着；我的心向我自己在悲歎哀鳴；我不能緘默不作聲；因為我聽見了號角聲，戰爭的吶喊。

俄巴底在路上的時候，以利亞恰巧遇見了他；俄巴底認出他來，就臉伏於地、說：『你真是我主以利亞不是？』

王應聲問但以理、但以理又名叫伯提沙撒；王問他說：『你能將我所作的夢和夢的解析告訴我麼？』

我但以理呢、我的靈在它的鞘子裏愁苦；我腦中所見的異象使我驚惶。

隨後大衛也起來，從洞裏出來，在掃羅後面喊着說：『我主我王！』掃羅回頭一望，大衛就俯伏，面伏於地而下拜。

到末了、但以理進來到我面前——照我的神的名字、但以理名叫伯提沙撒；他裏頭有聖神明之靈——我將夢告訴他說：『學術士的領袖伯提沙撒啊，因為我知道你裏頭有聖神明之靈，甚麼機密的事都不能使你為難；看哪，這時我夢中所見的異象；你要把它的解析說出來。

太監長給他們起了名，把但以理叫做伯提沙撒，把哈拿尼雅叫做沙得拉，把米沙利叫做米煞，把亞撒利雅叫做亞伯尼歌。

如今，你若赦免他們的罪，就好啦；倘若不然，就求你從你所記的冊上把我塗抹掉吧。』

我使你們流亡到的那城，你們要為它求福利，為它禱告永恆主，因為那城得福利，你們也隨着得福利。

吩咐他們說：『你們對我主以掃這樣說：「你僕人雅各這樣說：我在拉班那裏寄居，滯留到如今。我有牛、驢、羊羣、僕婢；現在打發人來告訴我主，為要求賞賞臉。」』

都因為在他裏頭、在但以理心裏、有非常高超之靈，有知識，有通達，能講明夢的解析，能釋謎語，能解難題的結——這但以理、王又給他起名叫伯提沙撒：現在可以把但以理召來；他一定能把解析講明白。』

大衛對押尼珥說：『你不是個好漢麼？以色列中誰能比得上你呢？眾民中有人進來要殺害你主你王，你為甚麼沒有保護你主你王呢？

諸山一見了你、就翻騰；怒沖沖的水橫流而過；深淵發出其聲音，山丘高舉其手臂。

拉結對她父親說：『我主眼中、請不要生氣我不能在你面前起來；因為我正有婦人事兒。』這樣，拉班搜尋來搜尋去，竟沒有把家神像找出來。

你就要說：「是你僕人雅各的，是送給我主以掃的禮物；看哪，他自己也在我們後邊呢。」』

哈拿回答說：『主啊，不是的；我是個心靈苦悶的婦人；清酒濃酒我都沒有喝，我乃是在永恆主面前傾心吐意的。
