Let his mind be changed from that of a man and let him be given the mind of an animal, till seven times pass by for him.

王既看見一位警衛者、就是一位聖者、從天上降下來，說：「要將這樹伐倒毁壞；然而它根上的樹𣎴子卻要留在地裏，用鐵圈和銅圈箍住，在山野的嫩草中讓天露滴濕，使他的分兒跟山野的走獸一樣，直到七個時期他都經歷過去」；

說你必被趕逐、離開人類，你的住處必同山野的走獸在一起；你必受迫而喫草如牛，被天露滴濕，經過七個時期；等到你承認至高者在人國中掌權，他喜歡將國賜給誰、就賜給誰。

因為他屢次被腳鐐和鎖鍊捆住，鎖鍊竟被他折斷了，腳鐐也弄碎了；總沒有人能使他馴服。黑夜白日、他時常在塋墓中山中喊叫，用石頭割傷自己。

我聽見身穿細麻服裝、站在河水以上、向天舉起左右手、指着那永遠活着的主來起誓的那人說：『要經過一個定期，兩個定期，半個定期，到打破聖民權力的事都作完了時，這一切事就都完了。

他必說話頂撞至高者；必折磨至高者之聖民；想要改變節期和禮節規矩；聖民必被交付於他的手、一個時期、兩個時期、半個時期。

北方王必再興舉大軍，比先前的更多；過了幾年，他必率領大軍隊，帶着許多軍隊裝備前進直往。

你去使這人民心蒙脂油，耳朵發沉，將他們的眼塗抹掉，免得他們用眼看見，用耳聽見，心裏明白，而回轉過來，而得醫治！』

耶穌一出來，上了岸，就有一個城裏的人、有鬼附着的、迎面而來。這個人好久不穿衣裳，不住房屋，只住在塋墓中間。他看見了耶穌，就高聲喊叫起來，拜倒在他面前，大聲說：『至高上帝的兒子耶穌，我與你何干？祈求你別使我受苦痛哦。』因為耶穌曾囑咐污靈從那人身上出來。原來那污靈曾經多次抓住了他；他是常被看守着，又用鎖鍊和腳鐐捆鎖好的；他竟把所捆鎖的掙斷，被鬼催迫到野地來了。

於是有大鷹的兩個翅膀給了那婦人，讓她飛入荒野、到自己的地方去，在那裏受供養一個時期，兩個時期，又半個時期，遠避那蛇的面目。

這話在王口中，還未說完，就有聲音從天上傳下來，說：『尼布甲尼撒王啊，有神言是對你說的：國權已經離開了你了。你必被趕逐離開人類，你的住處必同山野的走獸在一起；你必受迫而喫草如牛，經過七個時期，等到你承認至高者在人國中掌權，他喜歡將國賜給誰，就賜給誰。』立刻地、這神言就應驗到尼布甲尼撒身上了。他即被趕逐離開人類，喫草如牛，其身體被天露滴濕，以致其頭髮長長像鷹毛，其指甲如同鳥爪。

天地必滅沒，你卻長存；天地必像衣裳都漸漸故舊；
