He called in a loud voice:‘ Cut down the tree and trim off its branches; strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the animals flee from under it and the birds from its branches.

He proclaimed aloud and said thus:‘ Chop down the tree and lop off its branches, strip off its leaves and scatter its fruit. Let the beasts flee from under it and the birds from its branches.

The messenger shouted,“ Cut down the tree and lop off its branches! Shake off its leaves and scatter its fruit! Chase the wild animals from its shade and the birds from its branches.

現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裡。

必有外族人，就是列國中最強暴的，把它砍下丟棄。它的枝葉落在山上和所有的谷中；它的枝子折斷，落在地上所有的水溝裡；地上的萬族都必走離它的蔭下，把它丟棄。空中的飛鳥都住在倒下的樹身上，田野的走獸都臥在它的枝條間。

王既然看見一位守望者，就是聖者，從天上下來，說：‘你們要砍下毀壞這樹，樹根的餘幹卻要留在地上，用鐵和銅的鍊子圍住，留在野地的青草中，使他被天露滴濕；使他的分和野地的走獸一樣，直到他經過那七年的時期。’

現在斧頭已經放在樹根上，所有不結好果子的樹，就砍下來，丟在火裡。”

那時，傳令官大聲呼叫說：“各國、各族、說各種語言的人哪！這是傳給你們的命令：

凡是不結好果子的樹，就被砍下來，丟在火中。

它的葉子美麗，果實繁多，所有的生物都從它得到食物；野地的走獸在它下面歇息，空中的飛鳥棲宿在它的枝頭上；各種生物都從它得著供養。

他對管園的說：‘你看，這三年，我來到這棵無花果樹那裡找果子，卻找不到，把它砍了吧！何必白佔地土呢？’管園的說：‘主人，今年且留著它，等我把周圍的泥土挖鬆，加上肥料；以後結果子就罷，不然，再把它砍了。’”

大聲呼喊，好像獅子吼叫。他呼喊的時候，就有七雷發聲說話。

我們本想醫治巴比倫，但它沒有治好。我們離開它，各歸本地去吧！因為它的刑罰極大，上達於天，直到雲霄。

你仍要從巴比倫境內逃出來，各自逃命！不要因它的罪孽滅亡；因為這是耶和華報復的時候，他必向巴比倫施行應得的報應。

他用強有力的聲音呼喊說：“傾倒了！大巴比倫傾倒了！成了鬼魔的住處，各樣污靈的監獄，一切污穢可憎之雀鳥的牢籠，

但他心高氣傲、妄自尊大的時候，就從國位上被趕下來，他的尊榮也被奪去。
