So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates and all the other provincial officials assembled for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up, and they stood before it.

So the royal rulers, high officials and governors came together. So did the advisers, treasurers, judges and court officers. All the other officials joined them. They came to honor the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. They stood in front of it.

Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So all these officials came and stood before the statue King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, advisers, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the rulers of the provinces assembled for the dedication of the statue the king had set up. Then they stood before the statue Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the satraps, the prefects and the governors, the counselors, the chief treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the administrators of the provinces were assembled for the dedication of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, the administrators, the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the judges, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered together for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

So the satraps, prefects, governors, counselors, treasurers, judges, magistrates, and all the other provincial authorities assembled for the dedication of the statue that King Nebuchadnezzar had erected. They were standing in front of the statue that Nebuchadnezzar had erected.

Then the local governors, the deputies, and the governors, the judges, the treasurers, the counselors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together to the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

神要眾王行他的旨意，就把意念放在他們心中，叫他們同心把自己的國獻給那獸，直到神的話都實現為止。

大家一認出他是猶太人，就異口同聲高呼：“以弗所人的女神，偉大的亞底米啊！”喊了約有兩個鐘頭。後來，書記官安撫群眾說：“以弗所人哪！誰不知道你們的城，是看守大亞底米的廟，又是看守宙斯那裡降下的神像的呢？

沒有明白的，沒有尋求神的；

因為他們雖然知道神，卻不尊他為神，也不感謝他，反而心思變為虛妄，愚頑的心就迷糊了。他們自以為是聰明的，卻成了愚蠢的。他們用必朽壞的人、飛禽、走獸和昆蟲的形象，取代了永不朽壞的神的榮耀。因此，神就任憑他們順著心中的私慾去作污穢的事，以致羞辱自己的身體。他們用虛謊取代了神的真理，敬拜事奉受造之物，卻不敬拜事奉造物的主。他是永遠可稱頌的，阿們。因此，神就任憑他們放縱可恥的情慾：他們的女人把原來的性的功能，變成違反自然的功能；同樣地，男人也捨棄了女人原來的性功能，彼此慾火攻心，男人與男人作出可恥的事。他們這樣妄為，就在自己身上受到應該受的報應。他們既然故意不認識神，神就任憑他們存著敗壞的心，去作那些不正當的事。

牠又行大奇事，甚至在人面前叫火從天上降在地上。牠得了能力，在頭一隻獸面前能行奇事，迷惑了住在地上的人，吩咐住在地上的人，要為那受過刀傷而還活著的獸做個像。又有能力賜給牠，可以把氣息給獸像，使獸像能夠說話，並且能夠殺害那些不拜獸像的人。那從地裡上來的獸，又要所有的人，無論大小貧富，自由的和作奴隸的，都在右手或額上，給自己作個記號。

但對那些蒙召的人，不論是猶太人或希臘人，基督是神的能力，神的智慧。因為神的愚笨總比人智慧，神的軟弱總比人剛強。弟兄們，你們想想，你們這些蒙召的，按人（“人”或譯：“世上的標準”、“世界的標準”）來看有智慧的不多，有權勢的不多，出身尊貴的也不多。

他們同心合意，把自己的權力權柄交給那獸。

神站在大能者的會中，在眾神之中施行審判，說：（本節在《馬索拉文本》包括細字標題）“你們不按公義審判，偏袒惡人，要到幾時呢？（細拉）你們要為貧寒的人和孤兒伸冤，為困苦和窮乏的人伸張正義。要搭救貧寒和窮困的人，救他們脫離惡人的手。”他們沒有知識，也不明白，在黑暗中走來走去；大地的一切根基都搖動了。我曾說過：“你們都是神，是至高者的兒子。然而，你們要像世人一樣死亡，像世上任何一位領袖一樣倒斃。”神啊！求你起來，審判大地，因為萬國都是你的產業。
