如以夢告我、示我以兆、必大賚爾、尊榮爾、言之勿遲、

國中有人、爾祖之時、為至聖上帝之神所感、具聰明、有智慧、與上帝之智無異、爾祖尼布甲尼撒王位之為博士賢人太史卜師之長、

博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、

我聞爾善解秘奧、釋疑竇、爾果能讀斯文、解斯義、則必身衣緋衣、項繫金索、為國之相、職居其三、

又謂約瑟曰、上帝既以此示汝、故爾智慧、無人可與比儗。爾可治我家、我民必遵爾命、獨於國君之位、則我為尊。又曰、我舉爾統轄埃及。遂脫指環、授約瑟手、衣以棉衣、復以金索垂其項、乘以次輅、前驅者呼曰、跪、自是立為通國之宰。

伯沙撒大賚但以理、以緋衣被其身、以金索繫其項、更頒詔、命發國相、職居其三、

我必詣世家、與之語、彼庶幾灼知上帝耶和華之道、惟彼折軛斷維、不受約束。

有人素居馬雲、其業在加密、家甚富、有綿羊三千、山羊一千、在加密剪羊毛。

有羊七千、駝三千、牛五百耦、牝驢五百、僕從眾多、甲於東方。

巴西來老邁、年已八十、其家巨富、王在馬哈念時、以所需供王。

王於是特舉三人居顯爵、處於巴比倫邑。

爾盍速返故國、我意使爾得大榮、而耶和華不許。

既至、謂巴蘭曰、西撥子巴勒有言、爾盍涖臨、何所扞格。我將使爾尊顯、凡爾所言、我必依行、請爾至國、以詛斯民焉。

亞蘭王之軍長乃慢、素稱英武、耶和華用之救亞蘭人、故其王甚器重之、不幸身遘癩疾。

相語曰、汝見斯人乎、彼至侮以色列族、如有能殺之者、王將賜以厚財、以女妻之、蠲其全家應納之稅。

今有猶大人沙得臘、米煞、亞伯尼坷、王封之治巴比倫、乃不事爾之上帝、不拜爾所立之像、是不遵王命也、

尼布甲尼撒王銷金鑄像、高六丈、廣六尺、立於巴比倫土喇平原之所、

大利烏立州牧百二十人、治理國事、更立三監督、糾察其弊、不使國家有損、但以理為監督長、
