Then the king placed Daniel in a high position and lavished many gifts on him. He made him ruler over the entire province of Babylon and placed him in charge of all its wise men.

法老謂約瑟曰、天主祭以此示爾、故我知無人如爾之明哲智慧、爾可治我家、我民皆當聽爾命、我較爾尊、僅在國位、法老又謂約瑟曰、我舉爾統轄伊及全國、法老遂脫己之指環授約瑟手、衣以比疎衣、比疎類枲極白極細在古為最貴惟顯者服之復以金索垂其項、乘以副車、前驅者呼曰、跪、於是舉之統轄伊及全國、

今有猶大人、沙得拉、米煞、亞伯尼歌、王所使治理巴比倫州事務者、不遵王命、不事王之神、不拜王所立之金像、

尼布甲尼撒王作一金像、高六十尺、尺原文作肘因古以肘為度下同廣六尺、立於巴比倫州杜拉平原、

大利烏隨心所願、立方伯一百二十人、治理通國、又在其上立冢宰三人、使方伯述職其前、使國家無損、但以理亦在三人中、
