Then the astrologers answered the king,“ May the king live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will interpret it.”

Then those who studied the heavens answered the king. They spoke in Aramaic. They said,“ King Nebuchadnezzar, may you live forever! Tell us what you dreamed. Then we’ll explain what it means.”

Then the Chaldeans said to the king in Aramaic,“ O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.”

The Chaldeans spoke to the king( Aramaic begins here):“ May the king live forever. Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.”

Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic:“ O king, live forever! Tell the dream to your servants, and we will declare the interpretation.”

Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in Aramaic,“ O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.”

Then spake the Chaldeans to the king in the Syrian language, O king, live for ever: tell thy servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.

The wise men replied to the king:[ What follows is in Aramaic]“ O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will disclose its interpretation.”

Then the Chaldeans spoke to the king in the Syrian language,“ O king, live forever! Tell your servants the dream, and we will show the interpretation.”

They said to King Nebuchadnezzar,“ Long live the king!

But when the queen mother heard what was happening, she hurried to the banquet hall. She said to Belshazzar,“ Long live the king! Don’t be so pale and frightened.

Even later, during the reign of King Artaxerxes of Persia, the enemies of Judah, led by Bishlam, Mithredath, and Tabeel, sent a letter to Artaxerxes in the Aramaic language, and it was translated for the king.

Daniel answered,“ Long live the king!

So the administrators and high officers went to the king and said,“ Long live King Darius!

Then Eliakim, Shebna, and Joah said to the Assyrian chief of staff,“ Please speak to us in Aramaic, for we understand it well. Don’t speak in Hebrew, for the people on the wall will hear.”

Then Bathsheba bowed down with her face to the ground before the king and exclaimed,“ May my lord King David live forever!”

Jesus was in the center of the procession, and the people all around him were shouting,“ Praise God! Blessings on the one who comes in the name of the Lord!Blessings on the coming Kingdom of our ancestor David! Praise God in highest heaven!”

When all the magicians, enchanters, astrologers, and fortune tellers came in, I told them the dream, but they could not tell me what it meant.

To commemorate the event, Laban called the place Jegar sahadutha( which means“ witness pile” in Aramaic), and Jacob called it Galeed( which means“ witness pile” in Hebrew).

“ Upon hearing this, Daniel( also known as Belteshazzar) was overcome for a time, frightened by the meaning of the dream. Then the king said to him,‘ Belteshazzar, don’t be alarmed by the dream and what it means.’“ Belteshazzar replied,‘ I wish the events foreshadowed in this dream would happen to your enemies, my lord, and not to you!

Then Samuel said to all the people,“ This is the man the Lord has chosen as your king. No one in all Israel is like him!” And all the people shouted,“ Long live the king!”

But when all the king’s wise men had come in, none of them could read the writing or tell him what it meant.

but I replied,“ Long live the king! How can I not be sad? For the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”

Today he has sacrificed many cattle, fattened calves, and sheep, and he has invited all the king’s sons to attend the celebration. He also invited the commanders of the army and Abiathar the priest. They are feasting and drinking with him and shouting,‘ Long live King Adonijah!’

I expose the false prophets as liars and make fools of fortune tellers. I cause the wise to give bad advice, thus proving them to be fools.

The next morning Pharaoh was very disturbed by the dreams. So he called for all the magicians and wise men of Egypt. When Pharaoh told them his dreams, not one of them could tell him what they meant.
