遣兵戍守、彼眾玷污聖所及聖城、聖城或作聖所鞏固之城去日獻之祭、設殘賊可惡之物、

“ His armed forces will rise up to desecrate the temple fortress and will abolish the daily sacrifice. Then they will set up the abomination that causes desolation.

“ His army will come and make the temple area‘ unclean.’ They will put a stop to the daily sacrifices. Then they will set up a hated thing that destroys.

Forces from him shall appear and profane the temple and fortress, and shall take away the regular burnt offering. And they shall set up the abomination that makes desolate.

從廢除日常獻的祭、設立帶來毀滅的可憎之物算起，必經過一千二百九十天。

那王必與許多人締結一七之久的盟約。一七之半，他必終止祭牲和供物，並且設立帶來毀滅的可憎之物，直到所定的結局臨到這惡者。」

「當你們看見但以理先知所說的『那帶來毀滅的可憎之物』站立在聖地的時候（讀者須會意），

「當你們看見『那帶來毀滅的可憎之物』站在不當站的地方時（讀者須會意），住在猶太地區的人要逃到山上去；

它狂妄自大，要與天軍的統帥比高，它廢除日常獻給祂的祭，毀壞祂的聖所。因為反叛的緣故，天軍和日常所獻的祭都交給了它。它將真理拋在地上，它所行的無不順利。接著，我聽見一位聖者在說話，另一位聖者問他：「異象中出現的有關日常所獻的祭，毀滅性的反叛和踐踏聖所及天軍的事要持續多久呢？」

「你們看見耶路撒冷被重兵包圍時，就知道它被毀滅的日子快到了。

主撇棄自己的祭壇，憎惡自己的聖所，把耶路撒冷的殿牆交給敵人。他們像過節一樣，在耶和華的殿中喧嚷吵鬧。

祂又對他們說：「要玷污這殿，把你們所殺的堆滿整個院子。去吧！」他們便出去，在城中殺戮。

你們要當心，免得先知說的話應驗在你們身上，『藐視真理的人啊，看吧！你們要在驚懼中滅亡，因為我要在你們的時代行一件事，即使有人告訴你們，你們也不會信。』」

異象中所說的兩千三百個晝夜是真的。但你要保密，不可告訴別人，因為這指的是遙遠的將來。」

他勢力強大，卻不是靠自己的力量。他必帶來可怕的毀滅，而且凡事亨通，他必毀滅強者和聖民。

你看見的那十個角象徵另外十個還沒有得勢的王，他們將取得王權和那怪獸一同統治短暫的一段時期。

『你告訴以色列人，我要使我的聖所，就是你們引以為傲、眼中所愛、心裡所慕的受到褻瀆。你們留下的兒女必死於刀下。那時，你們將像我的僕人一樣不蒙臉，不吃喪家吃的飯。

他們以華美的飾物為驕傲，並用它製造醜惡可憎的神像，因此，我必使這一切變成他們眼中的污穢之物。我必使這一切成為外族人手中的獵物，惡人手中的戰利品，被任意糟蹋。

敵人伸手奪去她的一切珍寶。她目睹外族人闖入聖殿——那是耶和華禁止他們進入的地方。
