皆無瑕疵、丰采甚都、智識兼備、可立於朝者、教以迦勒底人語言文字王日賜以糈糧酒醴、比及三年、乃使侍於王前、

選少者數人、皆須無瑕疵、相貌俊美、通達各學各術、知識具備、可侍立於王宮者、當教之以迦勒底之文詞言語、

young men without any physical defect, handsome, showing aptitude for every kind of learning, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. He was to teach them the language and literature of the Babylonians.

He was looking for young men who were healthy and handsome. They had to be able to learn anything. They had to be well educated. They had to have the ability to understand new things quickly and easily. The king wanted men who could serve in his palace. Ashpenaz was supposed to teach them the Babylonian language and writings.

youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king’s palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

“ Select only strong, healthy, and good looking young men,” he said.“ Make sure they are well versed in every branch of learning, are gifted with knowledge and good judgment, and are suited to serve in the royal palace. Train these young men in the language and literature of Babylon.”

youths in whom there was no impairment, who were good looking, suitable for instruction in every kind of expertise, endowed with understanding and discerning knowledge, and who had ability to serve in the king’s court; and he ordered Ashpenaz to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

There is a man in your kingdom who has a spirit of the holy gods in him. In the days of your predecessor he was found to have insight, intelligence, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods. Your predecessor, King Nebuchadnezzar, appointed him chief of the magicians, mediums, Chaldeans, and diviners. Your own predecessor, the king,

So Moses was educated in all the wisdom of the Egyptians and was powerful in his speech and actions.

No man in all Israel was as handsome and highly praised as Absalom. From the sole of his foot to the top of his head, he did not have a single flaw.

Do you see a person skilled in his work? He will stand in the presence of kings. He will not stand in the presence of the unknown.

If any man inflicts a permanent injury on his neighbor, whatever he has done is to be done to him:fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth. Whatever injury he inflicted on the person, the same is to be inflicted on him.

God gave these four young men knowledge and understanding in every kind of literature and wisdom. Daniel also understood visions and dreams of every kind.At the end of the time that the king had said to present them, the chief eunuch presented them to Nebuchadnezzar.The king interviewed them, and among all of them, no one was found equal to Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. So they began to attend the king.In every matter of wisdom and understanding that the king consulted them about, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and mediums in his entire kingdom.

No man who has any defect is to come near: no man who is blind, lame, facially disfigured, or deformed;no man who has a broken foot or hand,or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has an eye defect, a festering rash, scabs, or a crushed testicle.No descendant of the priest Aaron who has a defect is to come near to present the food offerings to the LORD. He has a defect and is not to come near to present the food of his God.

The king shouted to bring in the mediums, Chaldeans, and diviners. He said to these wise men of Babylon,“ Whoever reads this inscription and gives me its interpretation will be clothed in purple, have a gold chain around his neck, and have the third highest position in the kingdom.”

At this time Moses was born, and he was beautiful in God’s sight. He was cared for in his father’s home for three months.

The Chaldeans spoke to the king( Aramaic begins here):“ May the king live forever. Tell your servants the dream, and we will give the interpretation.”The king replied to the Chaldeans,“ My word is final: If you don’t tell me the dream and its interpretation, you will be torn limb from limb, and your houses will be made a garbage dump.

So the king gave orders to summon the magicians, mediums, sorcerers, and Chaldeans to tell the king his dreams. When they came and stood before the king,

When the magicians, mediums, Chaldeans, and diviners came in, I told them the dream, but they could not make its interpretation known to me.

He asked Zebah and Zalmunna,“ What kind of men did you kill at Tabor?”“ They were like you,” they said.“ Each resembled the son of a king.”

Some Chaldeans took this occasion to come forward and maliciously accuse the Jews.

Wisdom makes the wise person stronger than ten rulers of a city.

He did this to present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or anything like that, but holy and blameless.

The Chaldeans answered the king,“ No one on earth can make known what the king requests. Consequently, no king, however great and powerful, has ever asked anything like this of any magician, medium, or Chaldean.

and declared: May the name of God be praised forever and ever, for wisdom and power belong to him.He changes the times and seasons; he removes kings and establishes kings. He gives wisdom to the wise and knowledge to those who have understanding.
