In every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king questioned them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters in his whole kingdom.

He asked them for advice in matters that required wisdom and understanding. The king always found their answers to be the best. Other men in his kingdom claimed to get knowledge by using magic. But the answers of Daniel and his friends were ten times better than theirs.

And in every matter of wisdom and understanding about which the king inquired of them, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters that were in all his kingdom.

Whenever the king consulted them in any matter requiring wisdom and balanced judgment, he found them ten times more capable than any of the magicians and enchanters in his entire kingdom.

In every matter of wisdom and understanding that the king consulted them about, he found them ten times better than all the magicians and mediums in his entire kingdom.

上帝賜所羅門智高識廣、如海濱之沙、不可測量、論其智慧、勝於東方之子、埃及之民多矣。亦勝於以士拉人以探、希慢、甲各、達大、馬曷諸子、以及兆人、其名洋溢乎四方。所羅門作諺三千言、作詩千有五篇、其論草木、自利巴嫩之柏香木、及墻上之牛膝草、又論禽獸蟲魚。天下列王。聞所羅門智慧、遣其民人、願聽聞焉。

博士告法老曰、此乃上帝施其有能之手、維時法老剛愎厥心、仍不聽從、而耶和華前言應矣。○

昧爽、中心憂疑、召埃及博士哲人、以夢告之、皆弗識其兆。○

自昔迄今、爾惑左道、信巫覡、試使立於此、能小補乎、能勝敵乎、爾謀夫孔多、有人仰觀天象、占察星辰、每值月朔、以卜未來、以定吉凶、使其咸興、庶可救爾。豈知彼乃草芥、被火焚燬、不能自救、皆為灰燼、不見微炭、不餘爝火、俾人溫暖。

博士亦施厥術、使蛙至於埃及。○

鄰敵之猶大人、數告我曰、敵必四面而至。

所羅門之智慧貨財、甲天下列王。上帝賦所羅門以智慧、天下億兆、咸求見焉。

埃及博士亦施厥術、以行是事。法老剛愎其心、不肯聽從、耶和華之言應矣。

昔於埃及、及至曠野、俱行異跡、顯我榮光、斯人目擊、猶且試我、至於十次、不聽我言、

王詔既頒、將戮哲士、遍索但以理、及其同儕、亦將加戮、

爾父乃欺我、十易我值、頻欲害我、而上帝不容。

爾煩數責我、聒噪不已、何不自愧乎。

召諸博士賢人、巫覡太史、既至王前、王命、占夢、曰、我獲一夢、中心鬱陶、欲知其夢而無由、太史以亞蘭方言、呼王千歲曰、請以夢告僕、僕占其兆、王曰、我已有命、如爾不以夢告我、示我以兆、必剖爾體、使爾室為厠、如以夢告我、示我以兆、必大賚爾、尊榮爾、言之勿遲、曰、請王以夢告僕、僕占其兆、王曰、我知爾明知我命、故為遲延、爾第欲欺余、不以夢告我、作緩圖之想、然我命已出、決無再更、爾當以夢告我、則我知爾能占其兆、太史對曰、斯事天下無有能知者、且未聞君王牧伯、以此詰博士賢人太史者也、王所問、人難以對、其惟上帝能之、而上帝不與人交。

對曰、王所問之事、哲人賢者、博士太史、不能告王、惟天上上帝、以秘奧示人、今將以末日之事告王、王卧於榻、中宵得夢、我試言之、

大聲召諸博士、太史、卜師、巴比倫哲士咸至、王告之曰、有能讀斯文字、解其義者、身衣緋衣、項繫金索、為國之相、職居其三、哲士入、文字不能識、奧義不能明、

於是博士賢人、太史卜師、咸集、余告以所夢、彼不能解其兆焉、既而但以理至、彼循我上帝之名、稱曰伯底沙撒、為至聖上帝之神所感、余即以夢告之曰、博士長伯底沙撒、我知爾感於至聖上帝之神、凡秘奧之事、爾能明晰、無事三思、我所得之夢、其兆維何、願明以告我、我中宵偃卧、夢樹生於地、其高莫及、生長堅剛、高凌霄漢、天下之人、皆得仰而見之、其葉蓁蓁、厥果纍纍、百物得而果腹、野獸伏於其蔭、飛鳥巢於其枝、我卧於榻、夢聖使者、巡察者、自天而降、大聲呼曰、斬其柯、斫其枝、摧其葉、摘其果、使其下獸不得伏、其上鳥不能棲、斷枝剩幹、猶留於地、斯樹譬諸斯人、束以銅鐵、委其草萊之間、為夜露所沾濡、使之嚙蒭、無異野獸、使其赤子之心、陡變豺狼之念、待七年既屆、聖使者、巡察者已定命若此、使天下之人、皆知至上者、秉其鈞衡、在乎寰區之內、隨意昇降、以賤為貴、治理民人、我尼布甲尼撒已得此夢、國中哲士、咸不能解其兆、惟爾伯底沙撒為至聖上帝之神所感、盍以兆告余、

法老召哲人巫覡、即埃及之博士、亦施厥術、以行是事。各擲其杖、俱化為蛇、而其杖為亞倫杖所吞。

我恆思爾法、故較師傅、尤通達兮、

昔雅尼、佯庇、為摩西敵、若此者、亦敵正理、其人壞心術、揆以主道、終必見擯、故不能持久、其橫逆必暴露於眾、如前二人然、

主限時日、升降君王、使賢者有智、哲者明慧、

示巴女王、聞耶和華與所羅門之名、遄征而往、欲以言難王。僕從甚眾、有駝載芬芳之品、以及金玉、難以悉計、既至耶路撒冷入覲所羅門、以己意詰之。所羅門隨問而答、無所不知、明晰以告。

但以理曰、大賚我所不取、爾賞可畀他人、我必讀斯文、而解其義、
