Slaves, obey your earthly masters in everything; and do it, not only when their eye is on you and to curry their favor, but with sincerity of heart and reverence for the Lord.

凡身為奴僕者、當尊敬其主人、庶免天主聖名聖道之被人褻瀆。若其主人亦為信徒、不可以其為兄弟而輕蔑之、轉宜以所事者為同道中人、而事之加謹焉。望汝以此訓之勉之。

為奴僕者、當服從斯世之主人、一如服從基督、戰戰兢兢、表裡如一、毋陽奉陰違、貌合神離、專以取悅於人為務；當如基督之奴僕、一本赤誠、奉行天主之旨、中心悅服、非以為人、乃以為主。

為子者應孝順父母、一切惟命、此事最能獲主歡心。

為僕者宜小心翼翼順服其主人、不惟於溫良者為然即於苛刻者亦然。凡橫逆之來、如能懷念天主而忍受之、斯可嘉矣。

爾既尊吾為主、顧又不踐吾訓何也？

吾儕既承天主不棄、托以福音、故惟知率直講道、不欲取悅於人、但欲取悅於洞察人心之天主而已。

吾豈欲迎合世俗乎？抑求悅於天主乎？吾又焉能閹然而媚世乎？閹然媚世、則不得為基督之僕矣。

對為奴者、應勸其服從主人、事事委順、毋違言、毋私取、披心相付、忠於所事；此正所以顯揚我等救主天主之聖道、於日用之間也。

親愛之兄弟乎、吾人既承此恩諾、亟應蕩穢滌污、務求心跡雙清、戰戰兢兢、敬事天主、以臻聖德純全之域也。

眾既一德一心、日日在殿、居恆析餅以食、亦無不怡然自樂。心悅誠服、

蓋予屬人權下、己亦帶有兵卒；命此去則去、召彼來則來、所諭於僕、罔有不從。』

蓋予亦屬人權下、士卒又處予權下、諭此曰去即去、呼彼曰來即來、凡有所命、僕必從焉。』

且昔為家奴、今為兄弟、豈不更美；此在予猶然、況在爾等本屬一家、今又共宗一主、愈當相親相愛矣。

目為一身之燈；目正則清明在躬、

猶如彼僮僕。常看東翁手。猶如婢女目。恆在主婦肘。吾目亦視主。望主頒恩佑。
