Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.

即有釁隙、亦宜相恕；爾之恕人、當如主之恕爾也。

Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Put up with one another. Forgive one another if you are holding something against someone. Forgive, just as the Lord forgave you.

bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.

There will be no mercy for those who have not shown mercy to others. But if you have been merciful, God will be merciful when he judges you.

“ If you forgive those who sin against you, your heavenly Father will forgive you.But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves.We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

So watch yourselves!“ If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive.Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive.”

“ Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.“ Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn others, or it will all come back against you. Forgive others, and you will be forgiven.

and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us.

Jesus said,“ Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” And the soldiers gambled for his clothes by throwing dice.

We prove ourselves by our purity, our understanding, our patience, our kindness, by the Holy Spirit within us, and by our sincere love.

Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ.

and forgive us our sins, as we forgive those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation.”

Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.

But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!

When you forgive this man, I forgive him, too. And when I forgive whatever needs to be forgiven, I do so with Christ’s authority for your benefit,

Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the man,“ Young man, your sins are forgiven.”But the Pharisees and teachers of religious law said to themselves,“ Who does he think he is? That’s blasphemy! Only God can forgive sins!”Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he asked them,“ Why do you question this in your hearts?Is it easier to say‘ Your sins are forgiven,’ or‘ Stand up and walk’?So I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said,“ Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!”

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps.

Live a life filled with love, following the example of Christ. He loved us and offered himself as a sacrifice for us, a pleasing aroma to God.

“ If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person listens and confesses it, you have won that person back.But if you are unsuccessful, take one or two others with you and go back again, so that everything you say may be confirmed by two or three witnesses.If the person still refuses to listen, take your case to the church. Then if he or she won’t accept the church’s decision, treat that person as a pagan or a corrupt tax collector.

Then Jesus said to the woman,“ Your sins are forgiven.”The men at the table said among themselves,“ Who is this man, that he goes around forgiving sins?”And Jesus said to the woman,“ Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Then Peter came to him and asked,“ Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”“ No, not seven times,” Jesus replied,“ but seventy times seven!“ Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decided to bring his accounts up to date with servants who had borrowed money from him.In the process, one of his debtors was brought in who owed him millions of dollars.He couldn’t pay, so his master ordered that he be sold— along with his wife, his children, and everything he owned— to pay the debt.“ But the man fell down before his master and begged him,‘ Please, be patient with me, and I will pay it all.’Then his master was filled with pity for him, and he released him and forgave his debt.“ But when the man left the king, he went to a fellow servant who owed him a few thousand dollars. He grabbed him by the throat and demanded instant payment.“ His fellow servant fell down before him and begged for a little more time.‘ Be patient with me, and I will pay it,’ he pleaded.But his creditor wouldn’t wait. He had the man arrested and put in prison until the debt could be paid in full.“ When some of the other servants saw this, they were very upset. They went to the king and told him everything that had happened.Then the king called in the man he had forgiven and said,‘ You evil servant! I forgave you that tremendous debt because you pleaded with me.Shouldn’t you have mercy on your fellow servant, just as I had mercy on you?’Then the angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt.“ That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.”

Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated?Instead, you yourselves are the ones who do wrong and cheat even your fellow believers.
