Put on therefore, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, a heart of compassion, kindness, lowliness, humility, and perseverance;

故爾既為天主所選聖潔蒙愛之人、則當懷矜憫、仁慈、謙遜、溫柔、忍耐、

爾等既為天主寵愛之子民、亟宜以慈善、謙恭、忍耐為佩、寬容大量、彼此體諒、

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

You are God’s chosen people. You are holy and dearly loved. So put on tender mercy and kindness as if they were your clothes. Don’t be proud. Be gentle and patient.

Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience,

Since God chose you to be the holy people he loves, you must clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with a heart of mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,

And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love,

Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge;and in knowledge, self- control; and in self- control perseverance; and in perseverance godliness;and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.For if these things are yours and abound, they make you to not be idle or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Therefore, brothers, be more diligent to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,gentleness, and self- control. Against such things there is no law.

and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator,

Finally, all of you be like- minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous,not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.For,“ He who would love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it.

But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Yahweh appeared of old to me, saying,“ Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love. Therefore I have drawn you with loving kindness.

We know that we have passed out of death into life, because we love the brothers. He who doesn’t love his brother remains in death.Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life remaining in him.By this we know love, because he laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers.But whoever has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, then closes his heart of compassion against him, how does God’s love remain in him?My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.And by this we know that we are of the truth, and persuade our hearts before him,because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

remembering without ceasing your work of faith and labor of love and perseverance of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father.We know, brothers loved by God, that you are chosen,and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.You became imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit,

Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil. Cling to that which is good.In love of the brothers be tenderly affectionate to one another; in honor preferring one another;

See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.

Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God’s chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,

“‘“ Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you,” says the Lord Yahweh,“ and you became mine.

in pureness, in knowledge, in perseverance, in kindness, in the Holy Spirit, in sincere love,

If therefore there is any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion,make my joy full by being like- minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others.

because of the tender mercy of our God, by which the dawn from on high will visit us,

Then he will send out his angels, and will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the sky.

according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

Won’t God avenge his chosen ones who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?

But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,not by works of righteousness which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

They will not build and another inhabit. They will not plant and another eat: for the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, and my chosen will long enjoy the work of their hands.

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision amounts to anything, nor uncircumcision, but faith working through love.

to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Look down from heaven, and see from the habitation of your holiness and of your glory. Where are your zeal and your mighty acts? The yearning of your heart and your compassion is restrained toward me.

“ Behold, my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights: I have put my Spirit on him. He will bring justice to the nations.

For Jacob my servant’s sake, and Israel my chosen, I have called you by your name. I have given you a title, though you have not known me.

I will bring offspring out of Jacob, and out of Judah an inheritor of my mountains. My chosen will inherit it, and my servants will dwell there.

For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,

For there will arise false christs and false prophets, and will show signs and wonders, that they may lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ— by grace you have been saved—

For God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

Unless the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the sake of the chosen ones, whom he picked out, he shortened the days.

Is Ephraim my dear son? Is he a darling child? For as often as I speak against him, I still earnestly remember him. therefore my heart yearns for him. I will surely have mercy on him,” says Yahweh.

Unless those days had been shortened, no flesh would have been saved. But for the sake of the chosen ones, those days will be shortened.

Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.What then? That which Israel seeks for, that he didn’t obtain, but the chosen ones obtained it, and the rest were hardened.

who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal,

even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without defect before him in love,

For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?He who didn’t spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?Who could bring a charge against God’s chosen ones? It is God who justifies.

For there will arise false christs, and false prophets, and they will show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

These will war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings, and those who are with him are called chosen and faithful.”
