爾既與基督同死、以絕世之小學、胡為從乎世、服於儀文乎、

爾效基督之死、脫此世小學、奚可從世故、尚儀文乎、

若爾與基督同死、脫斯世之賤質、何仍遵儀文、似猶活於世俗中、

爾等既與基督同死、而已灑然脫於世俗之蒙學矣、乃何又鰓鰓遵循人為之禁令、一若尚生於世俗之中耶？

Therefore, if you died with Christ from the basic principles of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to regulations—

If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances,

If you died with the Messiah to the elemental forces of this world, why do you live as if you still belonged to the world? Why do you submit to regulations:

Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

If you have died with Christ to the elemental spirits of the world, why do you submit to them as though you lived in the world?

If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,

Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elements of the world, rather than Christ.

In the same way we also, when we were children, were in slavery under the elements of the world.

Therefore, don’t let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day.

We know that we are of God, and the whole world is under the sway of the evil one.

Therefore, since Christ suffered in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same understanding— because the one who suffers in the flesh is finished with sin—in order to live the remaining time in the flesh no longer for human desires, but for God’s will.For there has already been enough time spent in doing what the Gentiles choose to do: carrying on in unrestrained behavior, evil desires, drunkenness, orgies, carousing, and lawless idolatry.

Therefore, my brothers and sisters, you also were put to death in relation to the law through the body of Christ so that you may belong to another. You belong to him who was raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God.For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions aroused through the law were working in us to bear fruit for death.But now we have been released from the law, since we have died to what held us, so that we may serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the old letter of the law.

For through the law I died to the law, so that I might live for God.I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Don’t be led astray by various kinds of strange teachings; for it is good for the heart to be established by grace and not by food regulations, since those who observe them have not benefited.

For although we live in the flesh, we do not wage war according to the flesh,

But now, since you know God, or rather have become known by God, how can you turn back again to the weak and worthless elements? Do you want to be enslaved to them all over again?You are observing special days, months, seasons, and years.I am fearful for you, that perhaps my labor for you has been wasted.I beg you, brothers and sisters: Become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You have not wronged me;

If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own. However, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of it, the world hates you.

Absolutely not! How can we who died to sin still live in it?Or are you unaware that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?Therefore we were buried with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we too may walk in newness of life.For if we have been united with him in the likeness of his death, we will certainly also be in the likeness of his resurrection.For we know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be rendered powerless so that we may no longer be enslaved to sin,since a person who has died is freed from sin.Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we will also live with him,because we know that Christ, having been raised from the dead, will not die again. Death no longer rules over him.For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God.So, you too consider yourselves dead to sin and alive to God in Christ Jesus.

For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
