由其欲心、妄自誇許、不愛戴元首、不知全體賴首、以百節維繫、輔助聯絡、能按天主之旨而日長也、

殊不知元首為全體之綱領、全體之筋脈骨節、賴之以生、賴之以固、賴之以調暢滋長於天主懷中。

They have lost connection with the head, from whom the whole body, supported and held together by its ligaments and sinews, grows as God causes it to grow.

They aren’t connected anymore to the head, who is Christ. But the whole body grows from the head. The muscles and tendons hold the body together. And God causes it to grow.

and they are not connected to Christ, the head of the body. For he holds the whole body together with its joints and ligaments, and it grows as God nourishes it.

and not holding firmly to the head, from whom the entire body, being supplied and held together by the joints and ligaments, grows with a growth which is from God.

and not holding fast to the Head, from whom all the body, nourished and knit together by joints and ligaments, grows with the increase that is from God.

and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increaseth with the increase of God.

But speaking the truth in love, let us grow in every way into him who is the head— Christ.From him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building itself up in love by the proper working of each individual part.

But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity.

Remain in me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, neither can you unless you remain in me.I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without me.If anyone does not remain in me, he is thrown aside like a branch and he withers. They gather them, throw them into the fire, and they are burned.

Finally, all of you be like-minded and sympathetic, love one another, and be compassionate and humble,

May they all be one, as you, Father, are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us, so that the world may believe you sent me.

Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function,in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another.

who wants everyone to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus,who gave himself as a ransom for all, a testimony at the proper time.

In fact, you are doing this toward all the brothers and sisters in the entire region of Macedonia. But we encourage you, brothers and sisters, to do this even more,

And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church,

The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ?Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, since all of us share the one bread.

Take note! I, Paul, am telling you that if you get yourselves circumcised, Christ will not benefit you at all.Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to do the entire law.You who are trying to be justified by the law are alienated from Christ; you have fallen from grace.

We ought to thank God always for you, brothers and sisters, and rightly so, since your faith is flourishing and the love each one of you has for one another is increasing.

He is also the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything.

He has stripped me of my honor and removed the crown from my head.He tears me down on every side so that I am ruined. He uproots my hope like a tree.His anger burns against me, and he regards me as one of his enemies.His troops advance together; they construct a ramp against me and camp around my tent.

make my joy complete by thinking the same way, having the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose.Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.Adopt the same attitude as that of Christ Jesus,

And may the Lord cause you to increase and overflow with love for one another and for everyone, just as we do for you.

So then, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in him,being rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing with gratitude.Be careful that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deceit based on human tradition, based on the elements of the world, rather than Christ.For the entire fullness of God’s nature dwells bodily in Christ,

I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.

For no one ever hates his own flesh but provides and cares for it, just as Christ does for the church,

Just one thing: As citizens of heaven, live your life worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or am absent, I will hear about you that you are standing firm in one spirit, in one accord, contending together for the faith of the gospel,

For just as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body— so also is Christ.For we were all baptized by one Spirit into one body— whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free— and we were all given one Spirit to drink.Indeed, the body is not one part but many.If the foot should say,“ Because I’m not a hand, I don’t belong to the body,” it is not for that reason any less a part of the body.And if the ear should say,“ Because I’m not an eye, I don’t belong to the body,” it is not for that reason any less a part of the body.If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole body were an ear, where would the sense of smell be?But as it is, God has arranged each one of the parts in the body just as he wanted.And if they were all the same part, where would the body be?As it is, there are many parts, but one body.The eye cannot say to the hand,“ I don’t need you!” Or again, the head can’t say to the feet,“ I don’t need you!”On the contrary, those parts of the body that are weaker are indispensable.And those parts of the body that we consider less honorable, we clothe these with greater honor, and our unrespectable parts are treated with greater respect,which our respectable parts do not need. Instead, God has put the body together, giving greater honor to the less honorable,so that there would be no division in the body, but that the members would have the same concern for each other.So if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.

Now I urge you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree in what you say, that there be no divisions among you, and that you be united with the same understanding and the same conviction.

I want their hearts to be encouraged and joined together in love, so that they may have all the riches of complete understanding and have the knowledge of God’s mystery— Christ.
