即爾等之領受割禮、亦在基督之中：惟斯割禮非以人手為之、乃克己去欲之基督割禮也。

受其割禮、以遠身之罪、此禮不假手於人、乃受之基督、

與基督聯合、而受割禮、非人手所行者、既去肉體之罪、即受基督之割禮、

In him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not performed by human hands. Your whole self ruled by the flesh was put off when you were circumcised by Christ,

When you received Christ, your circumcision was not done by human hands. Instead, your circumcision was done by Christ. He put away the person you used to be. At that time, sin’s power ruled over you.

In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ,

When you came to Christ, you were“ circumcised,” but not by a physical procedure. Christ performed a spiritual circumcision— the cutting away of your sinful nature.

You were also circumcised in him with a circumcision not done with hands, by putting off the body of flesh, in the circumcision of Christ,

and in Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision performed without hands, in the removal of the body of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ,

惟內心為猶太人、真為猶太人；心靈之割禮、真為割禮。蓋割禮在精神、而不在形式、在取悅於天主、而不在苟合於人耳。

吾人苟能以天主之精神、昭事天主、一心以基督耶穌為榮、而不恃形體、斯則真受割禮矣。

應知吾人之故我、已與之同釘於十字架上；於是罪孽之身、已蕩然毀滅、而吾人不復為罪孽之奴矣。

凡屬於基督者皆已將其肉體及一切情慾同釘於十字架。

棄絕故我、不復沉湎聲色、日趨朽壞。

蓋基督所入者、非一人手所倣造之聖所；彼實已直達天廷、且為吾人之故、而仰謁天顏矣。

凡處於基督懷中者皆為再造之人；舊事已逝、萬象更新；

蓋吾已與基督同釘於十字架、而今茲生存者、不復為我、實基督假吾而生。吾今雖尚生於形體之中、亦惟憑信德而生。蓋吾固篤信愛我而為我捐軀之天主聖子也。

今望爾等毅然棄絕、亦望蕩滌憤怒嫉恨、舉凡謗誹之言、污穢之語、欺人之詞、慎莫出諸於口。須知爾已棄絕舊人、及其故態、

今基督已至矣、彼乃新興恩寵時代之大司祭也。蓋彼已入閟帷、而成永久贖世之弘業。而其所通過之幕帷、實盡善盡美、非人手所設、亦不屬斯世；

即吾人本身亦莫非天主之化工、藉基督耶穌為行善而締造。然則吾人之行善、乃天主之成命耳。爾在血統上為外邦人、且一般曾身受人為之割禮者、咸呼爾為未割之民。爾應恆念昔時爾本與基督相隔、處於義塞社會之外、於盟約恩諾為局外人、在世無所仰望、不識天主。今則不然、爾托耶穌基督之恩、藉其聖血、已得化疏為親矣。蓋基督者、吾人之協和也；身受苦難、以去壁壘之隔、除法令之障。於彼之身、本族外族融成一體、以作新人、以建和平。更以此融成一體之二族、與天主協和於十字架上。十字架者、所以消滅一切敵對之意也。夫基督之來、為傳佈和平之福音。當時爾等在遐、我等在邇、其得親聆斯音則一也。總之、吾人以基督為介、彼此融洽於同一聖神之中、而得親近聖父矣。

夫創造宇宙萬物之天主、乃天地主宰、不居人建之殿、

吾人現世暫寓之逆旅、固有土崩瓦解之時。然吾人在天有一永久之安宅焉。此宅也、非人手所造、乃天主之所賜也。

時既成熟、天主乃遣其聖子、使之出於婦人之腹、而生於律法之下、庶幾諸凡生於律法之下者、悉蒙拯贖、而吾人皆獲得兒女身分。

八日既滿、聖嬰受割、名以耶穌、斯即降胎前天神所報之名。

實則至高者不居人手所造之殿、先知不云乎、主曰：

『吾儕親聞彼言、吾將毀此人手所造之殿、而於三日內另建一所、非人手所造者。』
