But the Lord took me from tending the flock and said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

耶和华选召我，使我不跟从羊群，对我说：‘你去向我民以色列说预言。’

耶和华带领我，叫我不再牧放羊群，对我说：‘你去向我子民以色列说预言。’

但耶和华不再让我看守羊群，祂对我说，‘去！向我的以色列子民说预言。’

但耶和华选召我，叫我不再跟随羊群；他对我说：‘你去，向我民以色列说预言。’

But the Lord took me away from taking care of the flock. He said to me,‘ Go. Prophesy to my people Israel.’

But the Lord took me from following the flock, and the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

But the Lord called me away from my flock and told me,‘ Go and prophesy to my people in Israel.’

But the LORD took me from following the flock and said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’”

Then the Lord took me as I followed the flock, And the Lord said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’

and Jehovah took me from following the flock, and Jehovah said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

But the Lord took me from following the flock and said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to My people Israel.’”

And the LORD took me as I followed the flock, and the LORD said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel.

Then the LORD took me from tending flocks and gave me this commission,‘ Go! Prophesy to my people Israel!’

and Yahweh took me from following the flock, and Yahweh said to me,‘ Go, prophesy to my people Israel.’

“ Now then, tell my servant David,‘ This is what the Lord Almighty says: I took you from the pasture, from tending the flock, and appointed you ruler over my people Israel.

He said:“ Son of man, I am sending you to the Israelites, to a rebellious nation that has rebelled against me; they and their ancestors have been in revolt against me to this very day.The people to whom I am sending you are obstinate and stubborn. Say to them,‘ This is what the Sovereign Lord says.’

But the Lord said to me,“ Do not say,‘ I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

He chose David his servant and took him from the sheep pens;from tending the sheep he brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel his inheritance.And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands he led them.

As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.“ Come, follow me,” Jesus said,“ and I will send you out to fish for people.”

He told them,“ This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.You are witnesses of these things.

“ Go, stand in the temple courts,” he said,“ and tell the people all about this new life.”

Peter and the other apostles replied:“ We must obey God rather than human beings!The God of our ancestors raised Jesus from the dead— whom you killed by hanging him on a cross.God exalted him to his own right hand as Prince and Savior that he might bring Israel to repentance and forgive their sins.We are witnesses of these things, and so is the Holy Spirit, whom God has given to those who obey him.”

As Jesus went on from there, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax collector’s booth.“ Follow me,” he told him, and Matthew got up and followed him.

As for us, we cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard.”
