He who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns midnight into dawn and darkens day into night, who calls for the waters of the sea and pours them out over the face of the land— the Lord is his name.

The Lord made the Pleiades and Orion. He turns midnight into sunrise. He makes the day fade into night. He sends for the waters in the clouds. Then he pours them out on the surface of the land. His name is the Lord.

It is the Lord who created the stars, the Pleiades and Orion. He turns darkness into morning and day into night. He draws up water from the oceans and pours it down as rain on the land. The Lord is his name!

The one who made the Pleiades and Orion, who turns darkness into dawn and darkens day into night, who summons the water of the sea and pours it out over the surface of the earth— the LORD is his name.

He who made the Pleiades and Orion, And changes deep darkness into morning, Who also darkens day into night, Who calls for the waters of the sea And pours them out on the surface of the earth, The Lord is His name.

You make darkness, and it is night, when all the beasts of the forest creep about.

“ Can you bind the chains of the Pleiades or loose the cords of Orion?Can you lead forth the Mazzaroth in their season, or can you guide the Bear with its children?

Some sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, prisoners in affliction and in irons,for they had rebelled against the words of God, and spurned the counsel of the Most High.So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help.Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress.He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and burst their bonds apart.

Whether for correction or for his land or for love, he causes it to happen.

to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”

“ Have you commanded the morning since your days began, and caused the dawn to know its place,that it might take hold of the skirts of the earth, and the wicked be shaken out of it?

And in the morning watch the Lord in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the Egyptian forces into a panic,clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said,“ Let us flee from before Israel, for the Lord fights for them against the Egyptians.”Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.”So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal course when the morning appeared. And I will lead the blind in a way that they do not know, in paths that they have not known I will guide them. I will turn the darkness before them into light, the rough places into level ground. These are the things I do, and I do not forsake them.

the people dwelling in darkness have seen a great light, and for those dwelling in the region and shadow of death, on them a light has dawned.”

We grope for the wall like the blind; we grope like those who have no eyes; we stumble at noon as in the twilight, among those in full vigor we are like dead men.
