Therefore at such a time the prudent person keeps quiet, because it is an evil time.

所以通达人见这样的时势必静默不言，因为时势真恶。

所以智慧人在这样的时候必静默不言，因为这是险恶的时候。

所以智慧人在这样的时候必静默不言，因为这是险恶的时候。

这是邪恶的时代，所以明智者静默不言。

为此，聪明人在这时代缄默无声，因这时代邪恶。

所以通達人見這樣的時勢必靜默不言，因為時勢真惡。

這是邪惡的時代，所以明智者靜默不言。

為此，聰明人在這時代緘默無聲，因這時代邪惡。

因此通達人在這種時勢就靜默不言；因為這時勢險惡。

斯乃奸惡之時、達人緘默、

斯時遭難、智者緘口、

斯時不善、有智者當緘默、或作故當時之智者必緘默因斯時不善也

Therefore the prudent keep quiet in such times, for the times are evil.

So those who are wise keep quiet in times like these. That’s because the times are evil.

Therefore he who is prudent will keep silent in such a time, for it is an evil time.

So those who are smart keep their mouths shut, for it is an evil time.

Therefore, those who have insight will keep silent at such a time, for the days are evil.

Therefore the prudent keep silent at that time, For it is an evil time.

Therefore he that is prudent shall keep silence in such a time; for it is an evil time.

Therefore, the wise person will keep silent at such a time, for the days are evil.

Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it[ is] an evil time.

For this reason whoever is smart keeps quiet in such a time, for it is an evil time.

So then, be careful how you walk, not as unwise people but as wise,making the most of your time, because the days are evil.

A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak.

Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am planning against this family a catastrophe From which you cannot remove your necks; And you will not walk haughtily, For it will be an evil time.

Yet let no one find fault, and let no one rebuke; For your people are like those who contend with a priest.

I heard, and my inner parts trembled; At the sound, my lips quivered. Decay enters my bones, And in my place I tremble; Because I must wait quietly for the day of distress, For the people to arise who will attack us.

Before the decree takes effect— The day passes like chaff— Before the burning anger of the Lord comes upon you, Before the day of the Lord’s anger comes upon you.Seek the Lord, All you humble of the earth Who have practiced His ordinances; Seek righteousness, seek humility. Perhaps you will remain hidden On the day of the Lord’s anger.

Do not trust in a neighbor; Do not have confidence in a close friend. Guard your lips From her who lies in your arms.For son disavows father, Daughter rises up against her mother, Daughter in law against her mother in law; A person’s enemies are the people of his own household.But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me.

For indeed, a person does not know his time: like fish that are caught in a treacherous net and birds caught in a snare, so the sons of mankind are ensnared at an evil time when it suddenly falls on them.

Then one’s uncle, or his undertaker, will lift him up to carry out his bones from the house, and he will say to the one who is in the innermost part of the house,“ Is anyone else with you?” And that one will say,“ No one.” Then he will answer,“ Keep quiet! For the name of the Lord is not to be mentioned.”

And while He was being accused by the chief priests and elders, He did not offer any answer.Then Pilate* said to Him,“ Do You not hear how many things they are testifying against You?”And still He did not answer him in regard to even a single charge, so the governor was greatly amazed.

And they said to him,“ This is what Hezekiah says:‘ This day is a day of distress, rebuke, and humiliation; for children have come to the point of birth, and there is no strength to deliver them.

But they were silent and did not answer him so much as a word; for the king’s command was,“ Do not answer him.”

Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
