二三邑之民、遊至此邑、思欲飲水、不遂所求、爾尚不歸誠於我。

如是、二三邑之民、踉蹌而行、至他邑求水、飲之而不足、然爾猶不歸我、耶和華言之矣、

People staggered from town to town for water but did not get enough to drink, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord.

耶和華又曰、我使爾邑中、糈糧匱乏、齒間絕食、爾尚不歸誠於我、

爾播多穫少、食不果腹、飲不止渴、衣不得暖、工得其金、盛於敝囊。

亞哈召阿巴底、告之曰、爾往遍地、井旁溪側、或有蒭蕘、以供馬騾、免使群畜喪亡。

又曰、人子、吾必使耶路撒冷人、養生之餅匱乏、將權餅而食、量水而飲、不敢少過、中心危懼、待餅水俱絶、互相觀望、因罪而亡。

我見其所為、欲其歸誠、惟彼不從、其與猶大族、親若姊妹、猶大族效尤、屢欺侮予。

長者遣少者汲水、井泉枯竭、挈其空瓶、含羞蒙首而歸。遍地無雨、土壤燥裂、耕者抱愧、而蒙厥首。

爾雖欲食、不得果腹、蓋此饑饉、必在邑中爾雖欲遷、不能免難、蓋即遁逃、必蹈鋒刃、

貧乏之民、求水不得、口舌煩燥、莫能解渴、我耶和華以色列族之上帝、必聽其祈、而不遺棄。山谷之間、必出水泉、曠野之所、必成池沼、我使之然。

耶和華又曰我使風暴五穀、細弱特甚、爾圃中之菜、園中之葡萄、無花果、橄欖樹、為蝗蟲食盡、爾尚不歸誠於我。耶和華又曰、我使瘟疫、傳染遍境、與埃及無異、殺爾丁男、擄爾馬匹、爾之營壘、腥羶撲鼻、爾尚不歸誠於我。耶和華又曰、昔我上帝傾圮所多馬蛾摩拉、爾中數人、亦遭隕越、其餘得救、如脫於火、爾尚不歸誠於我、

以色列族驕侈日甚、惡跡昭彰、竟不歸誠我耶和華、不求恩寵、

耶路撒冷之先知、更堪痛疾、行淫詭譎、俾作惡者流、厥志孔強、不悛厥行、予鑒察之、視若所多馬蛾摩拉之人無異。
