Please help me!”The king replied,“ If the Lord doesn’t help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?”He continued,“ What’s wrong?” She answered,“ A woman said to me,‘ Give up your son. Then we can eat him today. Tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’So we cooked my son. Then we ate him. The next day I said to her,‘ Give up your son. Then we can eat him.’ But she had hidden him.”

There were people who were not killed by these plagues. But they still didn’t turn away from what they had been doing. They did not stop worshiping demons. They kept worshiping statues of gods made out of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood. These statues can’t see or hear or walk.The people also did not turn away from their murders, witchcraft, sexual sins and stealing.

He has done to us just what he decided to do.’ ”
