所以在你百姓中必掀起鬧鬨，你一切的堡壘必被拆毀，就如沙勒幔在爭戰的日子拆毀伯‧亞比勒，將城中的母子一同摔碎。伯特利啊，因你們的大惡，你們必遭遇如此。黎明來臨，以色列的王必全然滅絕。

他又在瑪拿西、以法蓮、西緬、拿弗他利各城和四圍的廢墟，拆毀祭壇，把亞舍拉和雕刻的像打碎成灰，砍斷以色列全地所有的香壇。於是他回耶路撒冷去了。

不要往伯特利尋求，不要進入吉甲，也不要過到別是巴；因為吉甲必被擄走，伯特利必歸無有。」要尋求耶和華，就必存活，免得他在約瑟家如火發出，焚燒伯特利，無人撲滅。

現在你去，領這百姓往我所告訴你的地方去，看哪，我的使者必在你的前面引路。到了該懲罰的時候，我必懲罰他們的罪。」

這一切事都完畢以後，在那裏的以色列眾人就到猶大的城鎮，打碎柱像，砍斷亞舍拉，又在猶大、便雅憫、以法蓮、瑪拿西遍地把丘壇和祭壇完全拆毀。於是以色列眾人各回各城，各歸自己產業的地去了。

因此，我必使撒瑪利亞變為田野的廢墟，用以栽植葡萄；我必把它的石頭倒在山谷，掀開它的地基。城裏一切雕刻的偶像必被打碎，行淫的賞金全被火燒，我要毀滅它的一切偶像；因為從妓女的賞金積聚而來的，它們仍歸為妓女的賞金。

神人遵照耶和華的話向壇呼叫，說：「壇哪，壇哪！耶和華如此說：『看哪，大衛家必生一個兒子，名叫約西亞，他必將在你上面燒香的丘壇祭司，宰殺在你上面，人的骨頭也必燒在你上面。』」當日，神人設個預兆，說：「這是耶和華說的預兆：『看哪，這壇必破裂，壇上的灰必傾倒出來。』」耶羅波安王聽見神人向伯特利的壇呼叫的話，就從壇上伸手，說：「拿住他！」王向神人所伸的手卻萎縮了，不能彎回。壇也破裂了，壇上的灰傾倒出來，正如神人遵照耶和華的話所設的預兆。

我看見主站在祭壇旁，說：「你要擊打柱頂，使門檻震動，要剪除眾人當中為首的，他們中最後的，我必用刀殺戮；無一人能逃避，無一人能逃脫。
