But we don’t want you to be ignorant, brothers, concerning those who have fallen asleep, so that you don’t grieve like the rest, who have no hope.

Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain; but a woman who fears Yahweh, she shall be praised.Give her of the fruit of her hands! Let her works praise her in the gates!

The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot.

Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated, means Dorcas. This woman was full of good works and acts of mercy which she did.In those days, she became sick, and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.

She has done what she could. She has anointed my body beforehand for the burying.

Now in those days, when the number of the disciples was multiplying, a complaint arose from the Hellenists against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily service.

My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth.

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work, nor plan, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you are going.
