弟兄姊妹，关于安息的信徒，我不愿意你们一无所知，免得你们像那些没有盼望的人一样悲伤。

艳丽是虚假的，美貌是短暂的，唯有敬畏耶和华的女子配得称赞。愿她享受自己的劳动成果，愿她的事迹使她在城门口受称赞。

义人流芳于世，恶人名声朽烂。

有些虔诚人将司提凡埋葬了，为他大声痛哭。

倘若我见有人冻得要死，或有穷人衣不蔽体，却没有把我的羊毛给他们御寒，以致他们向我道谢；

耶稣对他们说：“我跟你们在一起的时候曾经说过，摩西的律法书、先知的书以及诗篇里有关我的记载都要应验。”

彼得伸手扶她起来后，叫那些在外面等候的门徒和寡妇进来，把活过来的多加交给他们。

因为人只要按自己的能力甘心乐意地去做，必蒙上帝悦纳，上帝不会强求人做无法做的事。

我和他们在一起的时候，靠着你赐给我的名保守他们，看顾他们。除了那个注定灭亡的人以外，他们一个也没有灭亡，这是为了应验圣经上的话。

因为你们身边总会有穷人，可是你们身边不会总有我。

在我们的父上帝面前不断地想到你们因信我们主耶稣基督而做的工作、因爱祂而受的劳苦和因祂所赐的盼望而激发的忍耐。

在约帕有个乐善好施的女信徒名叫戴碧达，希腊话叫多加，意思是“羚羊”。当时，她患病死了。有人将她的尸体洗干净后，停放在楼上。

她做了自己能做的。她是为我的安葬做准备，提前用香膏抹了我的身体。

那时，门徒的人数与日俱增。当中有些讲希腊话的犹太人埋怨讲希伯来话的犹太人，说对方在日常分配食物的事上怠慢了他们的寡妇。

如果有弟兄姊妹缺衣少食，你们只是对他们说：“安心走吧，愿你们穿得暖，吃得饱”，却不帮助他解决实际困难，这有什么用呢？因此，信心若没有行为，就是死的。

耶稣说：“唉！这世代又不信又败坏的人啊，我要跟你们在一起待多久？我要容忍你们多久呢？把他带来吧。”

“以色列的女子啊，为扫罗哀哭吧！他曾使你们衣服华美，穿金戴银。

从前偷窃的要改过自新，自食其力，做正当事，以便能够分给有需要的人。

我赤身露体时，你们给我穿的；我生病时，你们照顾我；我坐牢时，你们来看我。’“那些义人会回答说，‘主啊！我们什么时候见你饿了就给你吃的？见你渴了就给你喝的？见你身在异乡就接待你？见你赤身露体就给你穿的呢？我们又什么时候见你生病或坐牢，就去看你呢？’

因为你们身边总会有穷人，可是你们身边不会总有我。”

我凡事以身作则，教导你们勤奋工作，帮助软弱的人，并牢记主耶稣的话，‘施比受更有福。’”

所以，孩子们啊，不要单在口头上说爱人，总要以真诚的行动表现出来。

凡你的手能做的，都要尽力去做，因为在你要去的阴间没有工作，没有计划，也没有知识和智慧。
