亦未上耶路撒冷探訪前輩宗徒、逕赴阿刺伯、後又返大馬士革。閱三載、乃上耶路撒冷、謁基法、相處旬有五日。其他宗徒、自主之表弟雅各伯而外悉未之見。

後予返耶路撒冷、於殿中祈禱時、神遊象外、見主語予曰：「速離耶路撒冷、勿延；以汝為予作證、其人必不領受。」予曰：「主乎、彼等詎不知予前曾將信主者置於獄中、又於各會堂中侮辱而鞭撻之；且主之證人司諦文遇害流血時、予亦在場、顧而樂之、並為兇手守衣焉。」主曰：「去！予將遣汝遠適異邦。」』

其半途而廢者、亦必甚眾；且將互相陷害、互相嫉恨。
