吃過飯就健壯了。掃羅和大馬士革的門徒同住了些日子，

也沒有上耶路撒冷去見那些比我先作使徒的，惟獨往阿拉伯去，後又回到大馬士革。過了三年，才上耶路撒冷去見磯法，和他同住了十五天。至於別的使徒，除了主的兄弟雅各，我都沒有看見。

「後來，我回到耶路撒冷，在殿裏禱告的時候，魂遊象外，看見主向我說：『你趕緊地離開耶路撒冷，不可遲延；因你為我作的見證，這裏的人必不領受。』我就說：『主啊，他們知道我從前把信你的人收在監裏，又在各會堂裏鞭打他們。並且你的見證人司提反被害流血的時候，我也站在旁邊歡喜；又看守害死他之人的衣裳。』

那時，必有許多人跌倒，也要彼此陷害，彼此恨惡；
