聞者異曰『耶路撒冷殘害呼籲斯名者、非斯人乎？此來非欲網弋若輩、以解司祭長乎？』

凡听见的人都惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的，不是这人吗？并且他到这里来，特要捆绑他们，带到祭司长那里。”

凡听见的人都很惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的不就是这个人吗？他不是到这里来要捆绑他们，带到祭司长那里去吗？”

凡听见的人都很惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的不就是这个人吗？他不是到这里来要捆绑他们，带到祭司长那里去吗？”

听的人都大吃一惊，说：“他不就是那在耶路撒冷迫害信徒的人吗？他到这里来不是要把大马士革的信徒押去见祭司长吗？”

听见的人都很惊奇，说：“在耶路撒冷残害求告这名的，不是这个人吗？他来这里不是要缉拿他们交给祭司长吗？”

所有听见的人都十分惊讶，说：“这不就是那个在耶路撒冷残害了那些求告这名的人吗？而且他来到这里，不就是为要捆绑他们，带到祭司长们那里吗？”

凡聽見的人都驚奇，說：「在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的，不是這人嗎？並且他到這裏來，特要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏。」

凡聽見的人都很驚奇，說：「在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的不就是這個人嗎？他不是到這裏來要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏去嗎？」

凡聽見的人都很驚奇，說：「在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的不就是這個人嗎？他不是到這裏來要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏去嗎？」

聽的人都大吃一驚，說：「他不就是那在耶路撒冷迫害信徒的人嗎？他到這裡來不是要把大馬士革的信徒押去見祭司長嗎？」

聽見的人都很驚奇，說：“在耶路撒冷殘害求告這名的，不是這個人嗎？他來這裡不是要緝拿他們交給祭司長嗎？”

凡聽見的都驚奇說：『這個人豈不是那在耶路撒冷殘害呼求這名的麼？他到這裏來，豈不是要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長那裏麼？』

所有聽見的人都十分驚訝，說：「這不就是那個在耶路撒冷殘害了那些求告這名的人嗎？而且他來到這裡，不就是為要捆綁他們，帶到祭司長們那裡嗎？」

聞者皆驚異之、曰、此人非在耶路撒冷、殘害籲斯名者、且來此、欲繫之、解於祭司諸長乎、

眾聞、奇之曰、此非在耶路撒冷、殘賊凡籲斯名者乎、今至此、欲繫是徒、解祭司諸長歟、

凡聞之者、皆奇異曰、此人非在耶路撒冷殘害籲斯名者乎、今至此、非為縛之以解於祭司諸長乎、

All those who heard him were astonished and asked,“ Isn’t he the man who raised havoc in Jerusalem among those who call on this name? And hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

All who heard him were amazed. They asked,“ Isn’t he the man who caused great trouble in Jerusalem? Didn’t he make trouble for those who worship Jesus? Hasn’t he come here to take them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

And all who heard him were amazed and said,“ Is not this the man who made havoc in Jerusalem of those who called upon this name? And has he not come here for this purpose, to bring them bound before the chief priests?”

All who heard him were amazed.“ Isn’t this the same man who caused such devastation among Jesus’ followers in Jerusalem?” they asked.“ And didn’t he come here to arrest them and take them in chains to the leading priests?”

All who heard him were astounded and said,“ Isn’t this the man in Jerusalem who was causing havoc for those who called on this name and came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

All those hearing him continued to be amazed, and were saying,“ Is this not the one who in Jerusalem destroyed those who called on this name, and had come here for the purpose of bringing them bound before the chief priests?”

Then all who heard were amazed, and said,“ Is this not he who destroyed those who called on this name in Jerusalem, and has come here for that purpose, so that he might bring them bound to the chief priests?”

And all that heard him were amazed, and said, Is not this he that in Jerusalem made havoc of them that called on this name? and he had come hither for this intent, that he might bring them bound before the chief priests.

But all who heard him were astounded and said,“ Isn’t this the man who, in Jerusalem, was destroying those who called on this name and then came here for the purpose of taking them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

But all that heard[ him] were amazed, and said; Is not this he that destroyed them which called on this name in Jerusalem, and came hither for that intent, that he might bring them bound unto the chief priests?

All who heard him were amazed and were saying,“ Is this not the man who in Jerusalem was ravaging those who call on this name, and who had come here to bring them as prisoners to the chief priests?”

All who heard him were amazed, and said,“ Isn’t this he who in Jerusalem made havoc of those who called on this name? And he had come here intending to bring them bound before the chief priests!”

亞拿尼亞曰：『主、歷聞人言、彼於耶路撒冷迫害聖徒、無所不用其極；近復受命於司祭長、有權縛解呼籲爾名者。』

而掃羅則蹂躪教會、擅入人宅、逮捕男女信徒、下之於獄。

且識其為夙坐華門而求乞者也、皆不勝驚訝、而奇其所遇焉。

時掃羅氣燄逼人、必欲誅滅主之門徒。乃謁大司祭、求行文大馬士革各會堂、遇有此道中人、不論男女、盡縛解耶路撒冷。

莫不驚訝自失而相語曰：『果何由而致此乎？』

吾舊日在猶太教中之生活、固爾等所夙聞也。當時吾於天主之教會、迫辱摧殘、無所不用其極；而於猶太教義、造詣之深、超乎當年一般國人之上、以一片丹忱、擁護祖宗遺訓、不敢後人。然選我於胎中、而召我以特恩者、按其所悅樂之時、惠然以其聖子啟示吾心、令我傳道於外邦。吾即當機立斷、不屑謀之於血氣肉情、亦未上耶路撒冷探訪前輩宗徒、逕赴阿刺伯、後又返大馬士革。閱三載、乃上耶路撒冷、謁基法、相處旬有五日。其他宗徒、自主之表弟雅各伯而外悉未之見。凡此種切洵非虛言、天主照臨、實鑒斯忱。厥後我乃入敘里亞及西利濟亞之境。爾時猶太宗奉基督之諸教會、與予素無一面之緣；第聞昔日之逼辱同人、摧殘聖道者、今已憣然歸正、而弘揚聖道矣；莫不因予之故、而歸榮天主。

一聆此聲、紛紛咸集；聞門徒道其鄉音、乃駭然而異曰：

至耶穌所在、見患魔者整襟危坐、神志清明、不勝駭怖。目擊者且為眾道其始末。眾乃懇耶穌出境。耶穌復登舟、患魔者求之、欲常得追隨左右、不許、曰：『好自回家、與家人完聚、並以上主對爾所行及加爾之慈惠、向彼傳述可耳。』其人去至代加保利、宣揚耶穌洪恩、聞者莫不稱奇。

主臨之日、一切諸聖、皆當映其光輝、凡信之者、皆當彰其大德；是乃吾等之所傳、而爾等之所信也。

嗚呼、天父愛吾人之深、待吾人之厚、有不能言喻者焉。吾人竟蒙恩召、得稱為天主之子女、而亦實為天主之子女矣。然則吾人之不容於世、不亦宜乎；即天主亦未嘗見容於世也。

遄返故里、施訓會堂、眾奇之曰：『斯人何由而得如斯之妙慧異能？渠非梓人之子乎？厥母非名瑪莉雅乎？厥兄若弟、非雅各伯、若瑟、西門、樹德乎？

諸隣及曾見其乞食者、皆曰：『此非曩日坐而乞者乎？』或曰：『是也。』或曰：『非也、貌相似耳。』而其人自曰：『我即是也。』

眾見伯鐸祿若望侃侃而談、且識其為不學小民、素樸之人、皆不勝驚訝、意必曾親炙耶穌者、

笑罵由世人。造次必於是。
