The Lord told him,“ Go to the house of Judas on Straight Street and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, for he is praying.

And the Lord said to him,“ Rise and go to the street called Straight, and at the house of Judas look for a man of Tarsus named Saul, for behold, he is praying,

The Lord said,“ Go over to Straight Street, to the house of Judas. When you get there, ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul. He is praying to me right now.

“ Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him,“ to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.

So the Lord said to him,“ Arise and go to the street called Straight, and inquire at the house of Judas for one called Saul of Tarsus, for behold, he is praying.

And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judas for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus: for behold, he prayeth;

“ Get up and go to the street called Straight,” the Lord said to him,“ to the house of Judas, and ask for a man from Tarsus named Saul, since he is praying there.

And the Lord[ said] unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for[ one] called Saul, of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

Then the Lord told him,“ Get up and go to the street called‘ Straight,’ and at Judas’ house look for a man from Tarsus named Saul. For he is praying,

The Lord said to him,“ Arise, and go to the street which is called Straight, and inquire in the house of Judah for one named Saul, a man of Tarsus. For behold, he is praying,

“ I am a Jew, born in Tarsus of Cilicia, but brought up in this city, educated under Gamaliel, strictly according to the Law of our fathers, being zealous for God just as you all are today.

But Paul said,“ I am a Jew of Tarsus in Cilicia, a citizen of no insignificant city; and I beg you, allow me to speak to the people.”

Now when the brothers learned of it, they brought him down to Caesarea and sent him away to Tarsus.

And he left for Tarsus to look for Saul;

And he reported to us how he had seen the angel standing in his house, and saying,‘ Send some men to Joppa and have Simon, who is also called Peter, brought here;

I have certainly heard Ephraim grieving,‘ You have disciplined me, and I was corrected, Like an untrained calf; Bring me back that I may be restored, For You are the Lord my God.For after I turned back, I repented; And after I was instructed, I slapped my thigh; I was ashamed and also humiliated Because I bore the shame of my youth.’Is Ephraim My dear son? Is he a delightful child? Indeed, as often as I have spoken against him, I certainly still remember him; Therefore My heart yearns for him; I will certainly have mercy on him,” declares the Lord.

Out of the depths I have cried to You, Lord.Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the sound of my pleadings.If You, Lord, were to keep account of guilty deeds, Lord, who could stand?

Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from the stomach of the fish,and he said,“ I called out of my distress to the Lord, And He answered me. I called for help from the depth of Sheol; You heard my voice.For You threw me into the deep, Into the heart of the seas, And the current flowed around me. All Your breakers and waves passed over me.So I said,‘ I have been cast out of Your sight. Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.’

“ So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, it will be opened.

“ And I will pour out on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and of pleading, so that they will look at Me whom they pierced; and they will mourn for Him, like one mourning for an only son, and they will weep bitterly over Him like the bitter weeping over a firstborn.

But an angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, saying,“ Get ready and go south to the road that descends from Jerusalem to Gaza.”( This is a desert road.)

He keeps his soul back from the pit, And his life from perishing by the spear.“ A person is also rebuked by pain in his bed, And with constant complaint in his bones,So that his life loathes bread, And his soul, food that he should crave.His flesh wastes away from sight, And his bones, which were not seen, stick out.Then his soul comes near to the pit, And his life to those who bring death.“ If there is an interceding angel for him, One out of a thousand, To remind a person of what is right for him,And he is gracious to him, and says,‘ Free him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom’;Let his flesh become fresher than in youth, Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor;Then he will pray to God, and He will accept him, So that he may see His face with joy, And He will restore His righteousness to that person.He will sing to people and say,‘ I have sinned and perverted what is right, And it is not proper for me.He has redeemed my soul from going to the pit, And my life will see the light.’

Now dispatch some men to Joppa and send for a man named Simon, who is also called Peter;he is staying with a tanner named Simon, whose house is by the sea.”

Call upon Me on the day of trouble; I will rescue you, and you will honor Me.”

“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened.

Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.And you will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

I waited patiently for the Lord; And He reached down to me and heard my cry.He brought me up out of the pit of destruction, out of the mud; And He set my feet on a rock, making my footsteps firm.

now, will God not bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night, and will He delay long for them?I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?”Now He also told this parable to some people who trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and viewed others with contempt:“ Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.The Pharisee stood and began praying this in regard to himself:‘ God, I thank You that I am not like other people: swindlers, crooked, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.I fast twice a week; I pay tithes of all that I get.’But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying,‘ God, be merciful to me, the sinner!’I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

And he was saying,“ Jesus, remember me when You come into Your kingdom!”And He said to him,“ Truly I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”

When he was in distress, he appeased the Lord his God and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers.When he prayed to Him, He was moved by him and heard his pleading, and brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord alone is God.

And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

Therefore, repent of this wickedness of yours, and pray to the Lord that, if possible, the intention of your heart will be forgiven you.

Seek the Lord while He may be found; Call upon Him while He is near.Let the wicked abandon his way, And the unrighteous person his thoughts; And let him return to the Lord, And He will have compassion on him, And to our God, For He will abundantly pardon.

When I kept silent about my sin, my body wasted away Through my groaning all day long.For day and night Your hand was heavy upon me; My vitality failed as with the dry heat of summer. SelahI acknowledged my sin to You, And I did not hide my guilt; I said,“ I will confess my wrongdoings to the Lord”; And You forgave the guilt of my sin. SelahTherefore, let everyone who is godly pray to You in a time when You may be found; Certainly in a flood of great waters, they will not reach him.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

Jesus replied to her,“ If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who is saying to you,‘ Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”

But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you search for Him with all your heart and all your soul.
