And he got up and went to Eli and said,“ Here I am, for you called me.” Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy.And Eli said to Samuel,“ Go lie down, and it shall be if He calls you, that you shall say,‘ Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.’ ” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.Then the Lord came and stood, and called as at the other times:“ Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said,“ Speak, for Your servant is listening.”

‘ And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,‘ That I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, And your young men will see visions, And your old men will have dreams;

But if He says this:‘ I have no delight in you,’ then here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

He said,“ Now hear My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make Myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.

Then the secret was revealed to Daniel in a night vision. Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven;
