先此有丟大者起、自矜為大、附之者約四百人、彼見殺、從者皆散、歸於烏有、

經行全島、至帕弗、遇巫者、偽為先知、名巴耶穌、猶太人也、

由己言者、求己之榮、惟求遣之者之榮、斯人乃誠、其衷無不義也、

蓋人將自私、好利、矜誇、驕傲、謗讟、逆親、辜恩、邪慝、

後適祈禱所、遇一婢為卜筮之鬼所憑、以其術大利其主、隨保羅及我儕、呼曰、斯人乃至高上帝僕、以拯救之道宣於爾曹、如是者多日、保羅甚厭之、反身謂其鬼曰、我以耶穌基督名、命爾出之、鬼即出、○

術士亦施厥術、欲生蚋而不能、蚋在人畜、術士告法老曰、此上帝之手也、法老剛愎厥心、不聽從之、如耶和華所言、○

眾嚮往之故、因其久以巫術使之驚異也、

凡使子女經火者、卜筮者、觀兆者、用法術者、行邪術者、持咒者、交鬼者、為覡者、招魂者、勿留之於爾中、凡行此者、皆為耶和華所惡、諸族行此可惡之事、故爾上帝耶和華逐之於爾前、

有敬虔之貌、而無其實、若此者宜遠之、

多有信者來、自承其咎、且訴其所為、素行異術者、多集其書、焚於眾前、計值五萬金、主道昌盛、而獲勝有如此者、○

猶雅尼佯庇之拒摩西、若輩亦拒真理、其人心壞、見棄於道、然不復增益、其愚頑將暴於眾、如彼二人然、

此乃背逆自尊者、以抗乎凡稱為上帝、及受崇拜者、甚至坐於上帝殿、自命為上帝、

又行大兆於人前、使火自天降地、因所予行於獸前之兆、以惑宅地之人、告之宜造刃傷仍生之獸像、

埃及術士亦施厥術、以行是事、法老剛愎厥心、不聽從之、如耶和華所言、

凡狥欲從巫覡術士者、我必怒之、絕於民中、

法老召博士及巫覡、即埃及之術士至、亦施厥術、以行是事、

其外則有犬類、巫術、淫亂、兇殺、拜像、及好誑而行之者、○

蓋其言矜誇虛誕、由形軀之慾、以淫邪誘惑甫脫妄行者、
