So Philip ran up to it and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. He asked him,“ Do you understand what you’re reading?”

播於沃壤者、猶人聽道而悟、結實或百倍、或六十倍、或三十倍、○

凡聞天國之道而不悟、惡鬼至、奪其心之所播、此播於道傍者也、

爾探索諸經、思其中有永生、然經所證者我也、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立於聖地、讀者宜致思焉、

但在會中、與其言諸國方言以萬者、寧言五語、使明吾意以訓眾、

俾我心廣、步趨爾誡命兮。○

且爾竭心思、為所當為、轉瞬之間、即歸於土、在彼無工作、無計謀、無智慧。

曰、摩西例、先知書、及詩篇、所載指我者、皆應、我素偕爾、曾言之矣、遂啟其聰、令悟諸經、

耶穌召眾曰、宜聽而悟也、

爾觀先知但以理所言、指殘賊可惡之物、立不當立之地、讀者宜致思焉、時、在猶太者、當避於山、

不可不智、務悉主心、

耶穌曰、若此、爾皆悟乎、曰、主、然、

獸之名數、六百六十有六、其人數歟、知其義者、是智也、

耶穌曰、遵遣我者之旨、而畢其工、即我糧也、

遂起而往、遇埃提阿百宦者、司埃提阿百女王干大基庫、有權者也、已至耶路撒冷、崇拜而反、
