命使者前行。使者至色馬里村、為之預備、邑人以其顯欲赴耶路撒冷也、不願予以接納；厥徒雅谷伯若望睹此、乃曰：『主欲吾儕召天火下降、以焚其人乎？』耶穌顧而斥之曰：『爾等不自知所具者是何精神！蓋人子之來、非以毀人、正欲濟人耳。』乃折往他村。

西拉、蒂茂德自馬其頓來；葆樂傳道益切、力證耶穌即為基督；

彼等既與葆樂約期、即有多人來其寓所、葆樂自朝至暮向彼等證明天國之道、關於耶穌之事、引徵摩西之律與先知書、以詳說之。

爾等素從予遊、亦當為予作證也。

故汝等當知天主已將此救恩傳諸異邦人、彼等且必聽信。』

然聖神降臨、將賜爾等以神力、而爾等將為予作證、始自耶路撒冷、繼及猶太沙瑪里、終至普天率土、無遠不屆。』

兄弟鍚爾文、忠實可靠、吾所深知因託其寄爾尺素、以資勸慰、且證明凡此莫非天主聖寵。務望在此聖寵上、屹立不搖。

勸化猶太及希臘人士、悔過自新、歸向天主、信賴吾主耶穌基督。
