Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

『請賜權能、俾我亦能按手於人、使受聖神。』

and said,“ Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

He said,“ Give me this power too. Then everyone I place my hands on will receive the Holy Spirit.”

saying,“ Give me this power also, so that anyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

“ Let me have this power, too,” he exclaimed,“ so that when I lay my hands on people, they will receive the Holy Spirit!”

saying,“ Give me this power also so that anyone I lay hands on may receive the Holy Spirit.”

saying,“ Give this authority to me as well, so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

saying,“ Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”

And he put forth a parable to those which were bidden, when he marked how they chose out the chief rooms; saying unto them,When thou art bidden of any[ man] to a wedding, sit not down in the highest room; lest a more honourable man than thou be bidden of him;And he that bade thee and him come and say to thee, Give this man place; and thou begin with shame to take the lowest room.But when thou art bidden, go and sit down in the lowest room; that when he that bade thee cometh, he may say unto thee, Friend, go up higher: then shalt thou have worship in the presence of them that sit at meat with thee.For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.

And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Then laid they[ their] hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.

How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that[ cometh] from God only?

Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. He boasted that he was someone great,and all the people, both high and low, gave him their attention and exclaimed,“ This man is rightly called the Great Power of God.”They followed him because he had amazed them for a long time with his sorcery.
