Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer.And a man who had been unable to walk from birth was being carried, whom they used to set down every day at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, in order for him to beg for charitable gifts from those entering the temple grounds.When he saw Peter and John about to go into the temple grounds, he began asking to receive a charitable gift.

But the one sown with seed on the good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces, some a hundred, some sixty, and some thirty times as much.”

The one who rejects Me and does not accept My teachings has one who judges him: the word which I spoke. That will judge him on the last day.

And so Jesus sent Peter and John, saying,“ Go and prepare the Passover for us, so that we may eat it.”

Now these people were more noble minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.

So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls.

So then those who were scattered because of the persecution that occurred in connection with Stephen made their way to Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, speaking the word to no one except to Jews alone.But there were some of them, men of Cyprus and Cyrene, who came to Antioch and began speaking to the Greeks as well, preaching the good news of the Lord Jesus.And the hand of the Lord was with them, and a large number who believed turned to the Lord.The news about them reached the ears of the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas off to Antioch.

When they arrived in Jerusalem, they were received by the church, the apostles, and the elders, and they reported all that God had done with them.
