God was performing extraordinary miracles by the hands of Paul,

Jesus answered them,“ I did one deed, and you all are astonished.

And they remembered that God was their rock, And the Most High God their Redeemer.But they flattered Him with their mouth And lied to Him with their tongue.For their heart was not steadfast toward Him, Nor were they faithful with His covenant.

and they recognized him as being the very one who used to sit at the Beautiful Gate of the temple to beg for charitable gifts, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

You have no part or share in this matter, for your heart is not right before God.

The next Sabbath nearly all the city assembled to hear the word of the Lord.

As He said these things, many came to believe in Him.So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;

These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues;

Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passover, during the feast, many believed in His name as they observed His signs which He was doing.But Jesus, on His part, was not entrusting Himself to them, because He knew all people,and because He did not need anyone to testify about mankind, for He Himself knew what was in mankind.

“ Look among the nations! Watch! Be horrified! Be frightened speechless! For I am accomplishing a work in your days— You would not believe it even if you were told!
