The crowds paid attention with one mind to what Philip said, as they heard and saw the signs he was performing.For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed, and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

God was performing extraordinary miracles by Paul’s hands,

“ I did one work, and you are all amazed,” Jesus answered.

They remembered that God was their rock, the Most High God, their Redeemer.But they deceived Him with their mouths, they lied to Him with their tongues,their hearts were insincere toward Him, and they were unfaithful to His covenant.

and they recognized that he was the one who used to sit and beg at the Beautiful Gate of the temple complex. So they were filled with awe and astonishment at what had happened to him.

You have no part or share in this matter, because your heart is not right before God.

The following Sabbath almost the whole town assembled to hear the message of the Lord.

As He was saying these things, many believed in Him.So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed Him,“ If you continue in My word, you really are My disciples.

You believe that God is one; you do well. The demons also believe— and they shudder.Foolish man! Are you willing to learn that faith without works is useless?Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar?You see that faith was active together with his works, and by works, faith was perfected.So the Scripture was fulfilled that says, Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him for righteousness, and he was called God’s friend.You see that a man is justified by works and not by faith alone.And in the same way, wasn’t Rahab the prostitute also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out by a different route?For just as the body without the spirit is dead, so also faith without works is dead.

Then they believed His promises and sang His praise.They soon forgot His works and would not wait for His counsel.

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In My name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new languages;

While He was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many trusted in His name when they saw the signs He was doing.Jesus, however, would not entrust Himself to them, since He knew them alland because He did not need anyone to testify about man; for He Himself knew what was in man.

And the seed on the rock are those who, when they hear, welcome the word with joy. Having no root, these believe for a while and depart in a time of testing.

Look at the nations and observe— be utterly astounded! For something is taking place in your days that you will not believe when you hear about it.
