‘ But I will judge the nation that they serve,’ said God,‘ and after that they shall come out and worship me in this place.’

惟天主又曰：「奴待若輩之國、吾當懲之、嗣後若輩將被解放、而事我於斯土。」

But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,’ God said,‘ and afterward they will come out of that country and worship me in this place.’

But I will punish the nation that makes them slaves,’ God said.‘ After that, they will leave that country and worship me here.’( Genesis 15:13, 14)

‘ But I will punish the nation that enslaves them,’ God said,‘ and in the end they will come out and worship me here in this place.’

I will judge the nation that they will serve as slaves, God said. After this, they will come out and worship me in this place.

‘ And whatever nation to which they are enslaved I Myself will judge,’ said God,‘ and after that they will come out and serve Me in this place.’

‘ And the nation to whom they will be in bondage I will judge,’ said God,‘ and after that they shall come out and serve Me in this place.’

And the nation to which they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

I will judge the nation that they will serve as slaves, God said. After this, they will come out and worship Me in this place.

And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge, said God: and after that shall they come forth, and serve me in this place.

But I will punish the nation they serve as slaves,’ said God,‘ and after these things they will come out of there and worship me in this place.’

‘ I will judge the nation to which they will be in bondage,’ said God,‘ and after that they will come out, and serve me in this place.’

He said,“ But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain.”

Yet God my King is from of old, working salvation in the midst of the earth.You divided the sea by your might; you broke the heads of the sea monsters on the waters.You crushed the heads of Leviathan; you gave him as food for the creatures of the wilderness.

to him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for his steadfast love endures forever;and brought Israel out from among them, for his steadfast love endures forever;with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for his steadfast love endures forever;to him who divided the Red Sea in two, for his steadfast love endures forever;and made Israel pass through the midst of it, for his steadfast love endures forever;but overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for his steadfast love endures forever;

when he performed his signs in Egypt and his marvels in the fields of Zoan.He turned their rivers to blood, so that they could not drink of their streams.He sent among them swarms of flies, which devoured them, and frogs, which destroyed them.He gave their crops to the destroying locust and the fruit of their labor to the locust.He destroyed their vines with hail and their sycamores with frost.He gave over their cattle to the hail and their flocks to thunderbolts.He let loose on them his burning anger, wrath, indignation, and distress, a company of destroying angels.He made a path for his anger; he did not spare them from death, but gave their lives over to the plague.He struck down every firstborn in Egypt, the firstfruits of their strength in the tents of Ham.

He it was who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and of beast;who in your midst, O Egypt, sent signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants;

Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the Lord; awake, as in days of old, the generations of long ago. Was it not you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the dragon?Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep, who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?

And the Lord said to Moses,“ See, I have made you like God to Pharaoh, and your brother Aaron shall be your prophet.You shall speak all that I command you, and your brother Aaron shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land.But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,Pharaoh will not listen to you. Then I will lay my hand on Egypt and bring my hosts, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment.The Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord, when I stretch out my hand against Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them.”Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the Lord commanded them.Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron,“ When Pharaoh says to you,‘ Prove yourselves by working a miracle,’ then you shall say to Aaron,‘ Take your staff and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.’”So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron cast down his staff before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers, and they, the magicians of Egypt, also did the same by their secret arts.For each man cast down his staff, and they became serpents. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staffs.Still Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them, as the Lord had said.Then the Lord said to Moses,“ Pharaoh’s heart is hardened; he refuses to let the people go.

But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions.As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age.And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete.”

They performed his signs among them and miracles in the land of Ham.He sent darkness, and made the land dark; they did not rebel against his words.He turned their waters into blood and caused their fish to die.Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the chambers of their kings.He spoke, and there came swarms of flies, and gnats throughout their country.He gave them hail for rain, and fiery lightning bolts through their land.He struck down their vines and fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.He spoke, and the locusts came, young locusts without number,which devoured all the vegetation in their land and ate up the fruit of their ground.He struck down all the firstborn in their land, the firstfruits of all their strength.

“ And you saw the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and heard their cry at the Red Sea,and performed signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for you knew that they acted arrogantly against our fathers. And you made a name for yourself, as it is to this day.And you divided the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on dry land, and you cast their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into mighty waters.
