I have indeed seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their groaning and have come down to set them free. Now come, I will send you back to Egypt.’

耶和華曰、吾民在埃及之艱辛、我見之矣、因受督役者之酷暴而哀號、我聞之矣、彼之愁苦、我知之矣、今我降臨、以拯之於埃及人手、導出其境、以至膏腴寬廣、流乳與蜜之地、即迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、希未人、耶布斯人之境、以色列人之哀號、達於我前、埃及人之虐遇、我亦鑒之、爾來、我遣爾詣法老、導吾民以色列人出埃及、

然猶聽其呼籲、恤其患難兮、

歷年既久、埃及王薨、以色列族因其服役、歎息號呼、聲聞於上帝、上帝聞其呻吟、遂追憶與亞伯拉罕以撒雅各所立之約、眷顧以色列人、特垂念焉、

蓋我降自天、非行己旨、乃行遣我者之旨、

上帝曰、我乃自有、當告以色列族曰、自有者遣我就爾、

我之列祖、受苦於埃及、爾鑒之、哀號於紅海、爾聞之、

我必臨格、監其動作、實如所聞、設若不然、我必知之、○

從未有升天者、惟自天而降、即在天之人子耳、

民乃信之、既聞耶和華眷顧以色列人、鑒其困苦、遂俯首崇拜焉、

耶和華臨格、欲觀世人所築之城與臺、

耶和華既為興起士師、則偕之拯民於敵手、至終其世、蓋耶和華見民受人虐迫而哀歎、乃回其意、

蓋彼曰、斯乃我民、不行詐偽之子、故為其救主、民遭困苦、彼亦共之、使侍其前之使救之、加仁愛矜恤以贖之、在古昔時、扶翼之、懷抱之、

昔我導爾出埃及地、贖爾脫奴隸之室、遣摩西亞倫米利暗行於爾前、

以色列人謂耶和華曰、我干罪矣、任爾隨意待我、惟求今日救援、遂去其中異族之神、而事耶和華、耶和華因其困苦、中心愀然、

今埃及人使以色列族服役、我聞其呻吟、追念吾約、當告以色列人曰、我乃耶和華、將脫爾於埃及人所加之重負、罷爾苦役、以奮臂巨災贖爾、

爰遣其僕摩西、與所選之亞倫、

耶和華藉先知導以色列出埃及、亦藉先知保存之、

耶和華歟、爾其垂諸天而臨格、捫山嶽而煙騰兮、

願爾闢天而臨格、使山震動於爾前、

我將臨而語爾、取爾所感之神、賦之於彼、使其同負治民之任、免爾獨負、

我儕臨格、淆其言語、使彼此不通、
