枉其鄰者拒之、曰、誰立爾為有司刑官以治我乎、

其不義者拒摩西曰、誰立爾為有司刑官、以治我乎、

其不義者拒摩西曰、誰立爾為有司刑官、以治我乎、

而彼欺凌其鄰者嚴拒之曰：「孰令長吾而為司讞？

“ But the man who was mistreating the other pushed Moses aside and said,‘ Who made you ruler and judge over us?

“ But the man who was treating the other one badly pushed Moses to one side. He said,‘ Who made you ruler and judge over us?

But the man who was wronging his neighbor thrust him aside, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?

“ But the man in the wrong pushed Moses aside.‘ Who made you a ruler and judge over us?’ he asked.

“ But the one who was mistreating his neighbor pushed Moses aside, saying: Who appointed you a ruler and a judge over us?

But the one who was injuring his neighbor pushed him away, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and judge over us?

But he who did his neighbor wrong pushed him away, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and a judge over us?

But he that did his neighbor wrong thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a ruler and a judge over us?

“ But the one who was mistreating his neighbor pushed him away, saying: Who appointed you a ruler and a judge over us?

But the man who was unfairly hurting his neighbor pushed Moses aside, saying,‘ Who made you a ruler and judge over us?

“ This is the same Moses they had rejected with the words,‘ Who made you ruler and judge?’ He was sent to be their ruler and deliverer by God himself, through the angel who appeared to him in the bush. (niv)

Jesus replied,“ Man, who appointed me a judge or an arbiter between you?” (niv)

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. (niv)

Jesus said,“ My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. But now my kingdom is from another place.”“ You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered,“ You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” (niv)

Your servant has found favor in your eyes, and you have shown great kindness to me in sparing my life. But I can’t flee to the mountains; this disaster will overtake me, and I’ll die. (niv)

Jesus entered the temple courts, and, while he was teaching, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him.“ By what authority are you doing these things?” they asked.“ And who gave you this authority?” (niv)

“ But our ancestors refused to obey him. Instead, they rejected him and in their hearts turned back to Egypt. (niv)

They had Peter and John brought before them and began to question them:“ By what power or what name did you do this?” (niv)

One of the servants told Abigail, Nabal’s wife,“ David sent messengers from the wilderness to give our master his greetings, but he hurled insults at them.Yet these men were very good to us. They did not mistreat us, and the whole time we were out in the fields near them nothing was missing. (niv)

When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. (niv)

Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse.Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. (niv)

From then on, Pilate tried to set Jesus free, but the Jewish leaders kept shouting,“ If you let this man go, you are no friend of Caesar. Anyone who claims to be a king opposes Caesar.”When Pilate heard this, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judge’s seat at a place known as the Stone Pavement( which in Aramaic is Gabbatha).It was the day of Preparation of the Passover; it was about noon.“ Here is your king,” Pilate said to the Jews.But they shouted,“ Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him!”“ Shall I crucify your king?” Pilate asked.“ We have no king but Caesar,” the chief priests answered. (niv)

When they heard this, they were furious and wanted to put them to death. (niv)

Jesus is“‘ the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.” (niv)
