The next day Moses came upon two Israelites who were fighting. He tried to reconcile them by saying,‘ Men, you are brothers; why do you want to hurt each other?’

第二天，一些同胞在爭鬥，摩西就出來，勸他們和睦，說：『各位！你們是同胞，為什麼互相欺負呢？』

翌日見其相鬥、欲使之復和、曰、爾乃兄弟、何相害耶、

明日見兄弟鬥、勸之使和曰、爾乃兄弟、何相害也、

次日復就之、見二人相鬥、勸之和睦、曰、爾乃兄弟何相害、

翌日、遇其同族二人互搏、出而釋紛曰：「彼此手足、何自殘為？」

The next day Moses saw two Israelites fighting. He tried to make peace between them.‘ Men, you are both Israelites,’ he said.‘ Why do you want to hurt each other?’

And on the following day he appeared to them as they were quarreling and tried to reconcile them, saying,‘ Men, you are brothers. Why do you wrong each other?’

“ The next day he visited them again and saw two men of Israel fighting. He tried to be a peacemaker.‘ Men,’ he said,‘ you are brothers. Why are you fighting each other?’

The next day he showed up while they were fighting and tried to reconcile them peacefully, saying,‘ Men, you are brothers. Why are you mistreating each other?’

And on the following day he appeared to them as they were fighting each other, and he tried to reconcile them to peace, by saying,‘ Men, you are brothers, why are you injuring each other?’

And the next day he appeared to two of them as they were fighting, and tried to reconcile them, saying,‘ Men, you are brethren; why do you wrong one another?’

And the day following he appeared unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

The next day he showed up while they were fighting and tried to reconcile them peacefully, saying,‘ Men, you are brothers. Why are you mistreating each other?’

And the next day he shewed himself unto them as they strove, and would have set them at one again, saying, Sirs, ye are brethren; why do ye wrong one to another?

The next day Moses saw two men fighting, and tried to make peace between them, saying,‘ Men, you are brothers; why are you hurting one another?’

“ The day following, he appeared to them as they fought, and urged them to be at peace again, saying,‘ Sirs, you are brothers. Why do you wrong one another?’

The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong,“ Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?”The man said,“ Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought,“ What I did must have become known.”When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian, where he sat down by a well.

Then he sent his brothers away, and as they were leaving he said to them,“ Don’t quarrel on the way!”

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,

So Abram said to Lot,“ Let’s not have any quarreling between you and me, or between your herders and mine, for we are close relatives.

A brother wronged is more unyielding than a fortified city; disputes are like the barred gates of a citadel.

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

For this is the message you heard from the beginning: We should love one another.Do not be like Cain, who belonged to the evil one and murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his own actions were evil and his brother’s were righteous.Do not be surprised, my brothers and sisters, if the world hates you.We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love each other. Anyone who does not love remains in death.Anyone who hates a brother or sister is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him.

This is my command: Love each other.“ If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion,

But instead, one brother takes another to court— and this in front of unbelievers!The very fact that you have lawsuits among you means you have been completely defeated already. Why not rather be wronged? Why not rather be cheated?Instead, you yourselves cheat and do wrong, and you do this to your brothers and sisters.
