And when he was full forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

眷念其兄弟以色列眾子而往視之、

念以色列人、兄弟也、行年四十、欲往視之、

行年四十、心念其兄弟以色列人、往顧之、

行年四十、乃念義塞為其同宗、故欲一訪其國人。

“ When Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites.

“ When Moses was 40 years old, he decided to visit the people of Israel. They were his own people.

“ When he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brothers, the children of Israel.

“ One day when Moses was forty years old, he decided to visit his relatives, the people of Israel.

“ When he was forty years old, he decided to visit his own people, the Israelites.

But when he was approaching the age of forty, it entered his mind to visit his countrymen, the sons of Israel.

“ Now when he was forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel.

But when he was well- nigh forty years old, it came into his heart to visit his brethren the children of Israel.

“ As he was approaching the age of 40, he decided to visit his brothers, the Israelites.

But when he was about forty years old, it entered his mind to visit his fellow countrymen the Israelites.

By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter;Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren.And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that[ there was] no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand.

Also in Judah the hand of God was to give them one heart to do the commandment of the king and of the princes, by the word of the LORD.

The king’s heart[ is] in the hand of the LORD,[ as] the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.

For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.

And Moses went and returned to Jethro his father in law, and said unto him, Let me go, I pray thee, and return unto my brethren which[ are] in Egypt, and see whether they be yet alive. And Jethro said to Moses, Go in peace.

Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, that the word of the LORD by the mouth of Jeremiah might be fulfilled, the LORD stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, that he made a proclamation throughout all his kingdom, and[ put it] also in writing, saying,

Then rose up the chief of the fathers of Judah and Benjamin, and the priests, and the Levites, with all[ them] whose spirit God had raised, to go up to build the house of the LORD which[ is] in Jerusalem.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of[ his] good pleasure.

But thanks[ be] to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.

And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord,[ and see] how they do.

Blessed[ be] the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put[ such a thing] as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which[ is] in Jerusalem:

And they came, every one whose heart stirred him up, and every one whom his spirit made willing,[ and] they brought the LORD’S offering to the work of the tabernacle of the congregation, and for all his service, and for the holy garments.

The children of Israel brought a willing offering unto the LORD, every man and woman, whose heart made them willing to bring for all manner of work, which the LORD had commanded to be made by the hand of Moses.

I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all[ these things], and to build the palace,[ for] the which I have made provision.
