Then they secretly instigated some men to say,“ We have heard this man speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

于是，他们暗中唆使一些人诬告司提凡说：“我们听见他说亵渎摩西和上帝的话！”

于是他们唆使众人，说：“我们听过他说谤渎摩西和神的话。”

于是他们暗中唆使人说：“我们听过这个人针对摩西和神说亵渎的话语。”

於是他們唆使眾人，說：“我們聽過他說謗瀆摩西和神的話。”

於是他們教唆人說：『我們曾聽見他說了謗讟摩西和上帝的話。』

於是他們暗中唆使人說：「我們聽過這個人針對摩西和神說褻瀆的話語。」

遂賄人使言曰、我儕曾聞其有謗凟摩西及上帝之言、

乃賄人使流言曰、我聞此人、僭妄摩西及上帝、

乃賄人使流言云、我聞此人出言褻瀆摩西及天主、

眾乃唆使流言、謂其誹謗摩西、褻瀆天主。

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We have heard Stephen speak blasphemous words against Moses and against God.”

Then in secret they talked some men into lying about Stephen. They said,“ We heard Stephen speak evil things against Moses and against God.”

Then they secretly instigated men who said,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

So they persuaded some men to lie about Stephen, saying,“ We heard him blaspheme Moses, and even God.”

Then they secretly persuaded some men to say,“ We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

Then they suborned men, who said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and against God.

Then they persuaded some men to say,“ We heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God!”

Then they suborned men, which said, We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses, and[ against] God.

Then they secretly induced men to say,“ We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”

The chief priests and the whole Sanhedrin were trying to find false testimony against Jesus so that they could put him to death.But they did not find anything, though many false witnesses came forward. Finally two came forward

They will do these things because they have not known the Father or me.

And why not say,“ Let us do evil so that good may come of it”?– as some who slander us allege that we say.( Their condemnation is deserved!)

Requesting him to do them a favor against Paul, they urged Festus to summon him to Jerusalem, planning an ambush to kill him along the way.

When they heard this, they praised God. Then they said to him,“ You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all ardent observers of the law.They have been informed about you– that you teach all the Jews now living among the Gentiles to abandon Moses, telling them not to circumcise their children or live according to our customs.What then should we do? They will no doubt hear that you have come.

When morning came, the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves with an oath not to eat or drink anything until they had killed Paul.There were more than forty of them who formed this conspiracy.They went to the chief priests and the elders and said,“ We have bound ourselves with a solemn oath not to partake of anything until we have killed Paul.So now you and the council request the commanding officer to bring him down to you, as if you were going to determine his case by conducting a more thorough inquiry. We are ready to kill him before he comes near this place.”

After they had assembled with the elders and formed a plan, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,telling them,“ You are to say,‘ His disciples came at night and stole his body while we were asleep.’If this matter is heard before the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.”So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story is told among the Jews to this day.

When he arrived, the Jews who had come down from Jerusalem stood around him, bringing many serious charges that they were not able to prove.

They brought forward false witnesses who said,“ This man does not stop saying things against this holy place and the law.

and one who misuses the name of the LORD must surely be put to death. The whole congregation must surely stone him, whether he is a foreigner or a native citizen; when he misuses the Name he must be put to death.

even though I was formerly a blasphemer and a persecutor, and an arrogant man. But I was treated with mercy because I acted ignorantly in unbelief,

When they opposed him and reviled him, he protested by shaking out his clothes and said to them,“ Your blood be on your own heads! I am guiltless! From now on I will go to the Gentiles!”

This is the Moses who said to the Israelites,‘ God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your brothers.’This is the man who was in the congregation in the wilderness with the angel who spoke to him at Mount Sinai, and with our ancestors, and he received living oracles to give to you.Our ancestors were unwilling to obey him, but pushed him aside and turned back to Egypt in their hearts,

shouting,“ Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this sanctuary! Furthermore he has brought Greeks into the inner courts of the temple and made this holy place ritually unclean!”

“ Do not suppose that I will accuse you before the Father. The one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have placed your hope.If you believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me.But if you do not believe what Moses wrote, how will you believe my words?”

For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came about through Jesus Christ.

Also seat two villains opposite him and have them testify,‘ You cursed God and the king.’ Then take him out and stone him to death.”The men of the city, the leaders and the nobles who lived there, followed the written orders Jezebel had sent them.They observed a time of fasting and put Naboth in front of the people.The two villains arrived and sat opposite him. Then the villains testified against Naboth right before the people, saying,“ Naboth cursed God and the king.” So they dragged him outside the city and stoned him to death.

who is faithful to the one who appointed him, as Moses was also in God’s house.For he has come to deserve greater glory than Moses, just as the builder of a house deserves greater honor than the house itself!For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.Now Moses was faithful in all God’s house as a servant, to testify to the things that would be spoken.

We know that God has spoken to Moses! We do not know where this man comes from!”

After five days the high priest Ananias came down with some elders and an attorney named Tertullus, and they brought formal charges against Paul to the governor.When Paul had been summoned, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying,“ We have experienced a lengthy time of peace through your rule, and reforms are being made in this nation through your foresight.Most excellent Felix, we acknowledge this everywhere and in every way with all gratitude.But so that I may not delay you any further, I beg you to hear us briefly with your customary graciousness.For we have found this man to be a troublemaker, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.He even tried to desecrate the temple, so we arrested him.

For Moses has had those who proclaim him in every town from ancient times, because he is read aloud in the synagogues every Sabbath.”

I punished them often in all the synagogues and tried to force them to blaspheme. Because I was so furiously enraged at them, I went to persecute them even in foreign cities.

The Jewish leaders replied,“ We are not going to stone you for a good deed but for blasphemy, because you, a man, are claiming to be God.”Jesus answered,“ Is it not written in your law,‘ I said, you are gods’?If those people to whom the word of God came were called‘ gods’( and the scripture cannot be broken),do you say about the one whom the Father set apart and sent into the world,‘ You are blaspheming,’ because I said,‘ I am the Son of God’?
